My first functional Ebb & Flood setup

This is not traditional Bamboo. I have regular bamboo growing out back. This is Lucky Bamboo. Not even in the same family. They just call it that. If it gets one whif of Flouride or Chlorine, you will see it in the plant. Here is it's real name...

My first functional Ebb & Flood setup

I just added 3 more plants for a total of 9 in this flood tray. Time will tell. Seems that the extra rock and ballast in the net pots is working. These Lucky Bamboo will actually grow in just plain water. As long as there is no chlorine and fluoride.

    Mystery hot pepper...Help...

Well peppers are ripening and turning red. This red pepper is abnormally small. Here is a picture of the flower. I know I have a few aphids on the plant. This pepper stalk is green with lots of purple. Very woody. Any guess on what type of pepper plant? Thanks.

    Growing Berries from seed

I tried last year with a Boysenberry plant from a mother plant. My 3 dogs chewed it up. It is very thorny, worse than roses. I think they wanted toothpicks. I will try some more cuttings this year again. Boysenberries are related to both black berry Logan berry, and raspberry. They are more...

    cloning Cloning cuttings...Cloning with water...

Well, I know I pushed the cloner solution a little long. I think it was 5 weeks. I did replenish the used water & nutes. Stuff was still growing roots, just didn't want a nuclear meltdown. I finally changed it tonight, and started fresh. Here is my mystery pepper plant with roots. Just put...

Just started my first Tea brew...

The bacteria is building up some good foam. No bad smell, only a sweet smell. Just watered my peppers with a 50% solution of tea and RO water. The directions say I can use it at full strength, but want to start safe.

Just started my first Tea brew...

Thanks. It is my first try at brewing tea. I like the tea brewer. I did add a blue foam cloning insert to seal the tea brewer on top. My cloner I built myself... http://thehotpepper.com/topic/44856-cloning-cuttingscloning-with-water/

Just started my first Tea brew...

Earthworm castings / compost, molasses, mycorrhizae, and RO water. I like that it is a square bucket, and has a spout. I got it at a good price. I was going to build my own, but couldn't pass this one up.
