Here is the 2x2 foot tray with 13 5x5 inch pots. The other 3 are sterilizing right now in the dishwasher after hand washing. They were used in another project.
I'm thinking I may just use this as a watering tray...
Here are all 16.
I picked up a BlueLab ppm pen this week. I double checked...
From the white papers there are oxidants including peroxide. Remember bleach has a shelf life. When you use it it may only be at 80% of its original stength. With the MIOX mixed locally, it is fresh at a known stength. I know there are high tech tools to measure this stuff.
I got my black trays...
If you read the white papers from the company that makes the MIOX pen. Also look at their patents, and FDA approval for disinfection.
You will have to register an email with them, no big deal.
What makes it effective is the purity of the mixed oxidants, & freshness (just made).
They have a...
Thanks for the reading. I love seeing where some of my own reading tangents go. Reading looks good.
I know I need to be careful with old gear. I will clean, scrub, and sterilize it with MIOX. MIOX cuts thru sludge and kills more than bleach alone. I may use this as a watering table because of...
I started with General Hydroponics Flora series today. My water was previously at 7 PH. I put 2 ml of PH down in 15L resevoir.
Added 40ml of FloraGro, 20ml of FloraMicro, and 20ml FloraBloom.
Now PH is at 6, and PPMs are at 1190.
Going well since last week.
Yes those colorimetric drops are alcohol. I also have litmus paper, and trust them near 100%.
Here is the MSDS.

Yes it is a Bluelab pen. I do store it in KCL. Even just Calabrated it is 1 PH high, compared to Alcohol drops or litmus paper.
Don't know who to believe. I do trust the Alcohol or paper.
How do you fix the high readings? It has been calibrated many times.
Hope that works. I get tired of dissolving stones. I ended up getting 2 micro pore air stones. They work great. I have not used them for tea. For tea, dissolving stone is OK...
The 11 Lucky Bamboo are all clones from a mother plant. The Sweet Basil is 7th or 8 generation clone from its mother plant.
The Mystery Pepper is 2nd generation clone from its mother plant.
I'm just trying my luck with this setup. Seems to be working OK. Just getting the hang of it.
Here is my setup from a clean start....

I cleaned out my rez today. The Lucky Bamboo are growing roots.
I pre-rinsed the rocks before I put them in here. The water had a clay residue in the bottom of the container.
Here is it flooded with the residue mixed up.
I'm sure the clay caused the PH swing.
Rocks are removed and are...
No these did not come with my kit. I have these from my pool. The ones that come with it are very basic. I'll take a pic later. I have chemicals too, but sometimes this is just easier to double check a lot of things at once.
