health What's wrong with this pepper? Will it ripen?

I feed it cal mag every two weeks more or less and it's been getting the same amount of sun since the beginning more or less. Do they need more sun when they start fruiting? The pod too is becoming lighter in color.

health What's wrong with this pepper? Will it ripen?

Just the one, but some leaves are yellow and the new leaves are a bit curled. I don't see any bugs.

health What's wrong with this pepper? Will it ripen?

For the past few days the thing connecting the pepper to the plant has been yellowing, what's wrong with it?

health Lower leaves are falling. Is something wrong?

I'm growing in my balcony actually so they get direct sunlight. Temperature is between 68 and 87, humidity is high and I use 18-18-21 Miracle Gro fertilizer. Maybe I'm letting them dry up too much.   I've been thinking on getting fabric pots, do you have a recommendation for ones I can get...

health Lower leaves are falling. Is something wrong?

Really? I was thinking the opposite because my soil takes a long time to dry. After the top dries up I just wait 1-2 days before watering again. I water once a week give or take.

health Lower leaves are falling. Is something wrong?

Basically all the leaves below the Y have been falling for a couple of weeks. Otherwise the plant seems happy I think. It's been dropping a lot of flowers too but 2 have set now. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?   Here's a pic.

soil Salt cube on my soil

I hadn't realized perlite was so soft. I decided to post when I managed to break it but now I took some more perlite and broke it the same way. I feel dumb now.

soil Salt cube on my soil

Earlier I found a chunk of salt (I think) just laying on the soil on one of my containers. Am I overfertilizing? I'm using Miracle Gro for plants, following their instructions (every 7-14 days, I usually wait 14 days or more). A few leaves have yellowed and fallen in the past few days, but not...

Burnt roots with double cup method

Update: I kept doing it, leaving some air for the roots between the cup and the fertilizer and it has worked wonderfully.

water Can't mix neem oil with water

Nope. Not even sure if its readily available where I live. Would it work too?

water Can't mix neem oil with water

Any order in particular or you just mix it all? Room temperature is about 30 where I live so I thought that wouldnt be a problem. I looked at azamax but its much more expensive so Id like to try to get the neem oil to work.

water Can't mix neem oil with water

Unfortunately I don't have one, I use spray bottles. I think some of my plants have mites, or some other tiny bug which I can barely see.

water Can't mix neem oil with water

I'm afraid it might break down. I know the active component breaks down at not such a high temperature. The water I'm using must be around 90-100 F. Do you just use water and oil, no soap?

water Can't mix neem oil with water

I'm confused now. I thought you needed the soap to emulsify the oil, because oil and water don't just mix. Do you just shake it?

water Can't mix neem oil with water

I got some neem oil to use on my plants and I can't for the life of me mix it with water. I'm using 1 ml neem oil on 200 ml water (0.5% dilution) and 1 ml Dr. Bronner's pure castile soap and it just won't mix. What am I doing wrong? I end up with this:

Burnt roots with double cup method

Thanks! I think I was giving it too much. At least it has grown a lot, it's considerably larger than the one I haven't fed.

Burnt roots with double cup method

I learned that too early on. I even had weeds growing on the sides of the cup. Now for the outside I'm using a white foam cup.   I'll cut back on the amount of water and dilute it a bit more.

Burnt roots with double cup method

I think I didn't set it up right because the bottom part of the soil has been taking up water, so it actually hasn't dried up in more than a week. I'll try giving it time to dry up.

Burnt roots with double cup method

I have a couple of extra plants so I decided to try the double cup method with one to compare growth. I'm just putting regular soluble fertilizer in the second cup. The problem is the tips of the roots seem to be burned and some seem to be "retreating" even. Is the fertilizer too strong? Should...
