Ok, so my plants are rebounding and doing pretty decent, getting pods off plants I thought a month ago were dying. So, yesterday I see this monster caterpillar on my Pepperoncini plant, but different than any I have seen before, it had these white things all over it....stuck to it. Any idea...

Update: Here is a picture of one of my more mature pods...as they grow, they look more and more like the suggested Caribbean Red. RichardK, the pic you posted of your CR's is spot on for these, could be the same plant if I did not know better. You cant tell it quite as much with my pic below...

The light greenish/yellow ones towards the back are sweet cayenne, they are from 8 to 10 inches long. The long, darker green ones, also thicker ones, just beyond the sweet cayenne are Hot Portugal. In the foreground are an assortment of Thai Dragon, Serrano, Ring of fire, Pepperoncini and...

Took these yesterday morning from my plants that survived the damage from abandonment. A few of them really came back great, some didnt. Overall, I think a pretty good harvest. Time to pickle, cut and freeze...and best of all....salsa time...:-) Shane

Update to this topic: See below for a few pod pics.... :lol: One of my Fatalli pods. The plant has roughly around 18 pods, this size and smaller. Some of my habs, these are supposed to be red habs. The mystery pod, the plant has about a dozen on it now, this being the largest of them all...

Ok, thanks guys..I was afraid of that...since those pods didnt match anything I had seen on the net at all. Well, Im gonna keep growing mine and see what the pods end up looking like....and what they might be. I will check with my friend Monday and try to find out where he got the seeds. SA

Well, what was a more promising forecast last night has turned to higher percentages of rain today.....primarily today 50%, tomorrow 60% and tomorrow night 60%...but every period is with at least some opportunity. I hit the plants with some fungicide last night to hopefully counteract any fungus...
