    Disease? Virus? Overfert?

I don't know. Was thinking xanthomonas campestris p.v. vesicatoria (Xcv), cause I just read about it, but you seem to have clean holes there, from what I can make out. It kinda looks like the damage is more mechanical than biological.   Anyway, vesicatoria fits your written description of the...

    Disease? Virus? Overfert?

The photos look fine to my untrained eyes. I don't get it.

    Virus?

I borrowed this description of Magnesium deficiency from World of Chillies, "Magnesium helps support healthy leaf tissue, in particular leaf veins. It aids photosynthesis and is needed in quite large quantities. Deficiency is characterised by chlorosis of lower leaves, from the leaf tips...

    Virus?

I have the basil and thyme seed, just need to plant. I like spearmint, think I saw some living ones for sale at the supermarket the other day. The nasturtium looks particularly interesting as well, being edible and all. Thanks.

    Virus?

No aphids. Thanks for the tip.

    Virus?

A friend pointed me to this link. https://www.apsnet.org/publications/imageresources/Pages/Iw000117.aspx   That looks like a closer match than anything else I can come up with. With regards to nutrient deficiencies, the most likely suspect (manganese) results in dark veins and a light leaf...

    Virus?

They get nutes in their water, watered 1-2 times a day, depending on the weather. Media is charred rice hulls, easy to tell how dry they are. Guess I should overwater a bit and test the ppm of the runoff to see if I have a nutrient "strangeness" of some kind. Slight difference in sun, the...

    Virus?

Manganese... Guess I can just try a new nute batch and see what happens. Thanks all for the input. Will get back in a few days with the results.

    Virus?

It is still on the same AB mix as the rest of the plants, but there is a chance I made a bad batch at some point. There are actually 5 out of 25 plants with the same leaf dis-coloration. They were originally sitting next to one another. It was while spacing them out a bit that I noticed the...

    Virus?

No, nothing done differently. Discoloration actually started a few days ago. I got tied up and forgot about it. I will separate it pending further advice.

    Virus?

Not sure what is going on with this plant. Is this a virus? Should I dispose of the plant?

    tutorial Fermenting Peppers 101

Wow. Too much helpful advice to put into a single multi-quote. I'm going to: 1. Find a source for lactic acid. 2. Find some airlocks and bungs. 3. Finally make that Kimchi and also play with radishes. 4. Take some measurements to try to figure out how much growth a mash actually achieves as a...

    My first creations

So, ingredients:   Green Mango .5 Kilos (before processing) Ripe Mango 1.5 Kilos (before processing) Curly Chilies .1 kilos Thai Chilies .1 kilo Garlic 1/2 bulb Unknown Iodine Free Brown Salt 1 heaped tbs   Cooked for appx 25 minutes...

    My first creations

I had a bit of that mango pineapple sauce leftover after filling the bottles, put it in a normal jar and left it out on the counter for three days. It was apparently a yeast paradise, covered in a white film ans smelling like a brewery. Suppose I should have tasted it to satisfy my curiosity...

    My first creations

I'll try that. If I still have too much salt, the stuff will just become an ingredient instead of a sauce. On the plus side, wife likes the fermented flavor, wants to see if she can hawk a few bottles to her friends. Either way, I'll be making more of the sauce, with less salt!

    tutorial Fermenting Peppers 101

The potatoes did end up salty as heck. Delicious. Sauce is still a bit... much, much, much too salty. Going to ask the wife to find some of the daikon radishes ShowMeDaSauce recommended for salt removal.

    tutorial Fermenting Peppers 101

Thanks for the warning. I've seen, rather heard, some home ferments explode. Unnecessary excitement. Anyhow, I didn't "lock" the toggle on the bottle. Just in case, I'm going to put that bottle in a paint bucket to minimize mess.      Alright, I'll take out a bit. Actually seems to have some...

    tutorial Fermenting Peppers 101

You are both right, a mason jar would be better. I just happened upon these things at Ikea the other day, something like $1.2. I'll have to swing by the big market some time and poke around for the real thing. In the mean time, I just put a small weight on the bottle to keep it closed until...

    Vendors in Indonesia?

I was a bit shirty. Shouldn't have been. I did find your posts to be confusing, and it wasn't immediately clear to me that you were trying to help. Felt more like you were trying to express your opinion that local, organic, farming is the best than that you were trying to recommend a source of...
