    Companion Plants?

I didn't plant any companions this year and the bees all seem to be slacking around out back on patches of clover.  It's okay because I've apparently got a bunch of wasps pollinating all my peppers out front.  (Too bad they didn't bring their smaller cousins with them to murder the hell out of...

fermenting Mold in my first Homemade fermented Sauce!! Help!!

Your number one go-to when identifying mold is that yeast are not fuzzy and they do not just sit there doing nothing.  The post Ducky linked above has good advice on not growing mold.  (Note the part about keeping vegetative matter submerged.)   You do look to have happy little mold colonies...

Will all this rain kill my plants?

I had several plants drop every single one of their leaves this year from the combination of transplant shock and being rained on heavily practically every day for two solid weeks.  All of them have recovered fully.  Being waterlogged for too long can certainly kill them, but as long as you have...

    What is an ornamental pepper?

In my book, if it looks really cool but tastes like crap, it's an ornamental.

    scovilles Dragon's breath...2.48m scovilles?

Oh...I'm sure it's a real pepper of some sort, I just don't know that it is 'for real'.  They should send us all several for testing purposes.  ;)     Did you know a potato is another example of a hyper-dangerous plant which can cause deadly anaphylactic shock?  Pretty much all foods can kill...

Keeping potted plants on concrete or dirt?

Depends on the concrete.  Peak concrete temp for a fully exposed location on a 95-100F day is around 120-125F and maintains that for about two hours.  On either side of that peak is a sharp drop off into the 90s and 80s.  Blacktop, red bricks, or colored concrete can easily hit 140F+ and...

    Tucson AZ Growers

I had friends out there for years and she always had a great garden even though it spent a lot of time looking like hardpan.  Even though it is desert, you don't end up needing much more water than you would most anywhere else.   You should be able to get away most days with a good soak early...

water Does this look like over watering or something else?

Hard to tell with the light on.  Is it just the new growth yellowing, or is the whole plant doing it?  How often have you been fertilizing and with what?   (Honestly, it looks like it is having difficulty removing its laptop from the bag.  That's likely the real problem here.  Withdrawals.)

    Weak and discolored stems

Tell your plants to quit skipping leg day.  :D   If you have spares, I would pinch the lowest leaves off one and bury it up to the next set, then see if the stem does the same thing as it continues to grow.

So do mine.  Except for the two straight weeks of it they got drowned with recently...which caused half of them to wilt and crap leaves everywhere.  Now I've got a bunch of naked but otherwise perfectly healthy plants and I'm like "harden the hell up, you pansies...some plants LIVE in water".

    Red Savina vs. Red Hab?

Most things marketed as Red Savina are just a variety of red habanero and most of the people who sell Red Savina have no clue there is any difference between a regular red and what they think they're selling.  Having grown and eaten a lot of both, even the real Red Savina are inconsistent in...

I do the same thing with buckets to create mobile plants and it works great.  Similar to this dude, except I use net pots instead of cottage cheese containers.  I also put bolts in my lower bucket to perfectly space the net pot and give a perfect reservoir depth.  With a overflow port drilled...
