    The official TOMATO thread

I haven't grown them yet but they are on my list to grow. Tiny Tim. My mom grew them years ago in a pot on her deck and loved them for salads.

Who ate the top of my plants?

It could be birds. One of my chickens like to eat plants. I let them forage through my garden and started rotating them until I found the culprit.

    JJJ Glog 2014.....in summary

Rick said he didn't soak his manzano's and they sprouted. I soaked mine and got 0% germ. My friend puts them in a blender to nick the seeds then plants them. I might take a file to some and see if that works. I'll keep you posted.

I tried to buy them but they are sold out. I went with copra, the one they compare it to. Also ordered the Ailsa Craig and some bunching ones. I just have to figure out how to harvest them( bunching ).

Happy new year. Nice list of peppers. My son likes to grow the arledge because they point up and they are a little hotter when I make jalapeƱo poppers. They are a little small though. We are still looking for a hotter/bigger stuffing pepper. good luck in 2014

Annie's 2014 Glog: FINAL Grow List before new 2014 glog

Happy new year Annie. I don't know the size of your trees ( pecan, red bud) but I know local garden centers around me will be them off you or remove them for free with an earth spade. It's worth a phone call to your local center. I work for a school and during an addition we gave a bunch away to...

    Stickman's 2014 Glog- That's all folks!

I can imagine the flurry. They eat song birds and doves. We have one that chases the neighbors doves. She yells at that bird worse than I yell at my kids. They are interesting to watch when they are hunting. I don't start onions until feb. Do they go under a hoop house?
