Soap will work - you just have to be diligent and thorough with multiple applications. Rub the soap on your fingers and then rub both side of each and every leaf. Also rub the stem with soapy fingers. Normally after 3-4 applications in a 10 to 14 day period - the aphids are history.

Could be BER (blossom end rot) - that causes the pod to ripen faster than normal and fall off. Over watering is usually the cause, but sometimes it just happens. Check your plants in the morning to see how "happy" they are regarding water, even well watered plants can get droopy in the late...

Your Chocolate Bhuts look great Jeremy. Right now, my Choc Bhuts are bigger in pod size than my Giant Bhuts. Are the Giant Bhuts late bloomers? I know the pods I got from you were absolutely huge so I'm hoping they grow eventually.

Lookin good, get some of those babies started sooner next year and you can get a couple of harvests from them.

Plants in containers suffer more - the roots get too hot. What little I have in the ground is doing fine.

My personal experience of growing both shows the Red Savina to be much hotter, maybe even twice as hot. I find both to be tasty though and the Orange Hab is certainly worth growing.
