shopping Pepper suprises found in stores.

I did not want to hijack Chaotianjiao's thread but I thought more of you may have run across some different peppers also. shopping Look what I found in the grocery store!

Thats pretty cool. You should see if they can get some ripe (red) ones for you. The green ones are pretty bland, but the red ones are a very nice pepper to munch on when gardening. I overwintered one plant. They are a nice addition with the strings of hats/bells all lined up.

    pepperproblem's 2013 grow log.

You will busy. Have you had bad weather? No, I have not grown these two before. I have about 4 Tovariis and maybe two Pintaga Amarelas going. I find many peppers with the pod shape of the PA to be at least, above average tasting. Just trying some things that are a bit off the radar to see if I...

Thanks Dshlogg. I will look and see if I have any Rhoms. left. I think I planted most of them, but I will check. Funny, I think I sorta dump the picking boxes on the table. Lucky, I guess. Hope you have a good year. How many places are you growing in this year? pp

Started some experiments with root stimulators, CO2 pads, etc Started harding off seedlings in racks covered with shade cloth. I still avoid the mid day Sun. Need the space. lol Hairy little Rhoms. I tend to drop a few extra seeds in each hole with the wilds and Rocotos. Sometimes they all...

Thanks Armac. New place I have more room. This one was 8 and a half ft across, but did not need staking. Small peppers. This was in Dec. This plant got a bit out of control. Staking, propping up etc. I think I left it at the old place. Super hot pods though. Late season big Douglahs B. Hats...

    Aji Margariteno, Mako Akokosrade, Manganji

I am growing the Mako also.I had a very good powder made by cmpman with this pepper. It was hotter than a stock Habanero with better flavor and aromatics. This was the review from the 100 pepper powder review. \ Cmpman1974 Mako Akokosrade Grape Smoked With added shades of yellow due to the...

The bigger the plant and pods, the bigger the stake. Rocotos/Manzanos will break branches and split down the center from the weighted pods. The Rocoto in the foreground has support stakes on each branch. The two further back have 3 stakes a piece with twine and white plastic hangers to support...

    pepperproblem's 2013 grow log.

I hope to start the experiments today. I have started to give a few trays filtered morning light for a hour. I plan to start transfering them to a small green house in a week or two. Starting to see many posts from new growers on slow growth rates. True, they are painfully slow in the beginning...

Any Spare Carolina Reaper Seeds ?

Picking not ripe will not be the full force you may be after. Just wait until the pod is the desired color. Many a test has been done on peak capsaicin levels. T. Scorps are plenty hot lol Stressing the plant, warmer nights, picking ripe, but not over ripe etc., should give you what you want...
