    Savoury chilli recommendations

I don't think I have had any red pods that I would consider having the same earthy flavor as some of the brown pods.   With that said, I have grown the red pheno version of the Douglah the past 3 seasons and I think it is fantastic! To me the flavor is not similar to the brown as it is missing...

    Chocolate Primo seeds

I initially planted 4 from the seeds you sent me. After 3 weeks with nothing sprouting, I planted 12 more. So far, only 3 have sprouted, but none have been helmet heads and they are looking healthy. I'm really looking forward to seeing how these turn out.

wanted LOOKING FOR "Chunpepe" C. frutescens

I tried growing them a few years ago but it turned out that the seeds were crossed with a chinense. Another member here, Zackorz, tipped me off to the USDA seed bank which had them in stock. I sent him some of the seeds and we are both growing them this year. I'm expecting better results this...

    Chuck Norris morugas

Tom, I sent you a few pods of the Chuck Norris Moruga at the end of last season in a box of pods and seeds. I purchased the seeds from the Hippy Seed Company. Personally I think this is a hybrid. Every pod on the plant was different in shape and size, no consistency what so ever. Compared to my...

Red Savina vs West Indies Red

West Indies is currently my favorite hab and is nothing like the red savina, at least in my experience. The West Indies hab is larger in size, is not shaped the same, has thinner walls, is more aromatic, has a more complex and better flavor (in my opinion), and is at least as hot (if not more)...

    chinense Chocolate Bhutla CS

Indeed! I have grown Bakers chocolate reaper the past 2 years. I do not believe it is a pure reaper, nor is it a pure scorpion (I have had Bakers chocolate scorpion and this is not it). I do think it is possibly a reaper x chocolate scorpion or douglah cross. It is very hot and the plant I...

Are 7 pots yellows sometimes enlongated?

Agreed... yellow 7's are not smooth and shiny! Mine are bumpy and very brainy looking.

    favorite You Favorite Red "Habanero"

They do look very small for a congo. The red Trinidad Congos I received in an SFRB last year were huge! One of the largest habs I have seen to date. It was also the hottest hab I have tried, quite a bit hotter than a red savina. I have yet to try the Antillais Caribbean Red hab, but my favorite...

    Chocolate Primos

This chocolate primo has my interest. To date my favorite chocolate is the lava, both in flavor and in heat. Grew it the past 2 years and it is fantastic!

    Why Bubblegum?

The story I remember is that the creator of this fine pepper thought it tasted a little like bubblicious bubble gum, the the origin of its name. The abbreviation BBG7 is also from that name.   Never mind... was typing this when the above post came in... explains what I just stated.

    CPR problems

I am growing 1 CPR. It was a real late bloomer and began setting pods about 2 weeks ago. It currently has 15-20 small pods, most with stingers/tails, so the pheno is correct. I have begun topping new growth to prevent further pods from setting... it's to late in the season for pods to mature and...

    Chunpepe seed source?

Sorry guys, but that pic was mine before I knew it was a cross, most likely with a chinense. Yes, those pods are very hot, bhut level hot, and also very tasty. I am in the process of trying to procure some pure chunpepe seeds from a seed bank. The real chunpepe looks like a normal frutescens...

    SB7J Pod Test

I think I remember reading awhile ago that the parents were a red foodarama Scotch Bonnet crossed with a 7 Pot Jonah. But I could be wrong.
