    Hardening off...for a second time!

I don't want to hijack the thread, just a related question :) Managed to get some of my plants sunburned. Do you suggest removing the burned leaves or wait for the plant to do it's thing? Helping to cut of the leaves wont boost the growth of new leaves? Anyways I already got new healthy...

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

The Rocoto/Manzano peppers has gotten quite a lot bigger than last time :) How big are these peppers at full size? Red Habanero with it's first pod producing. Might be more in the crowd that I haven't noticed! Cobincho plant putting out pods & flowers :) The DWC, all plants...

indoor Thrips in indoor hydro system!

Thanks for clearing that up. I might just go ahead and spray it all down but need to get the products first. Spent about an hours yesterday looking through a lot of leaves but can't find more bugs. I find it quite easy to see them. I still haven't totally decided yet if I would spray everything...

indoor Thrips in indoor hydro system!

Think I found the sucker, found one on the same leaf minutes later. This time I crushed it with my fingers! What are the chances, can't be the same one? haha I'm not able to see more of them, sure will spend some more time checking them out soon. Just got off work :) Last time I used some...

indoor Thrips in indoor hydro system!

Here I was thinking that my indoor plants were doing good then I noticed a small sucker. When I tried to kill it, it jumped away. Should I go crazy and spray everything down or give it some time and see how things play out? I've only noticed one thrip so far and no effect on leaf foliage. I...

Hydroponics category under Growing Hot Peppers

This might have been suggested elsewhere, tried a search in this part of the forum but no results. I think it would be really nice to have our own category for people growing in hydroponics. Would be more convenient when looking for specific information related to what type of growing a person...

    Yet another leaf question!

Interesting so you've been that high without any signs of problems. I'm using the lucas formula that is aimed at general hydroponics nutrients. He recommends an ec of 1.3 to 1.8. I've quoted his post for reference. Anybody else running this high in EC?

    Yet another leaf question!

I noticed you updated your previous post, another great link. I'll sure read through the information there, see if my brain gets any smarter at all haha Just for an updated, I just diluted my reservoir minutes ago. I have lowered the EC from 2000~ to 1400~. I just finished reading through that...

    Yet another leaf question!

Sure a lot of interesting information there, thanks for sharing. How could it be potassium though. I didn't tell they are in hydroponic system. They should have good amount of potassium available and all the other important trace elements. I believe my EC is too high which made me believe I am...

    Yet another leaf question!

I'm thinking this could be nutrient burn. Honestly that's what I think it is but nutes burn normally appear more in the edges than the middle. Mine are showing more symptoms in the middle than edges. Can anybody confirm if I'm right or wrong? For sure I know it's not cal/mag deficiency. They...

Round Polo Ceramic Airstone, bad or good?

Thanks guys :) Tried to search a lot on google about what air stones were recommended but couldn't find much. You guys have answered the questions I had :)

    What in the World?!?!

It doesn't have broad mites or any deficiencies it's just a mutant plant from seed stage. I got one looking exactly the same in hydro system, while all others around are normal. Could post a pic but no time for that right now, maybe later :)

    Pr0digal_sons not so Prodigal season.

You're right about what fert burn normally looks like. You just gave me the idea of checking up my nutes even thought it doesn't look like the normal case of fert burn. I am pushing my hydro plants to the limit I think, just following something called lucas formula which is EC of 2000. Just...

Round Polo Ceramic Airstone, bad or good?

Good suggestion! I just heard the "blue ball" air stones have more chance to clog up. Just read some people talking about that online. Don't think it would be much of a problem anyway, if you use organic nutrients then it might be a problem. They sure are much more affordable, might be cheaper...
