    Pr0digal_sons not so Prodigal season.

This sure looks a lot like whats happening on some of my plants indoors inside a flood and drain system. I never get water on the leaves but still manage to get similar spots. At first they are not gray, only transparent. Then after a while it becomes gray and dry looking. I see you mentioned...

    SoCalChilehead 2012/2013 grow log

Growing good I see! You don't always plant more than one per specie? I guess you're a better gardener than me, if I had one of each type I'd probably end up with very few surviving plants hehe My hydro's overcrowded and my soil plants I have burned in the sun. Newbie me put them out too fast...

    Rabid48's 2012 Grow Log

Hope your weather changes, your lows are lower than here and I'm almost on the North Pole compared to you hehe But your high temps are much higher than here though! Nice to see you got your first pepper going on, not many days since mine started to set too :)

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

I don't think I can get myself to cut branches off! I would think I have enough light with my 600w LED light but I'm not sure if my distance is good or bad. Of course the bottom leaves won't get much light because of the crowded growth. Honestly so far I find hydroponics much easier than soil...

overwintering Two sick overwintered plants, give them up?

The leaves are perfectly healthy now, no edema or any other things going on. Might be too late to get them to produce anything this year, a pod or two and it's worth it for me hehe

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

Thought I would post an update. Still fighting edema with one of my plants in the flood and drain system. I have a water schedule now that only water at the time that the plant start to wilt a bit but it still manages to produce more edema. It's only that one plant doing it though, the others...

Round Polo Ceramic Airstone, bad or good?

Thanks for the feedback :) I got a bit paranoid about buying new types of air stones. Tried some other type from an aquarium store and the stone was only floating upside down and everywhere.

overwintering Two sick overwintered plants, give them up?

The plants are getting along well, I've left them outside in the greenhouse during day time. Here is what they look like today. Tabasco: Thai Dragon:

How strong air pump is needed?

By using one Hailea High Pressure Air Compressor 20w Aco308 which have 4 outlets. The pump gives out 45 Liter per minute divided by 4 outlets. Which is 11.25 Liter per 2.6 gallon tank that I plan to use. Then by curiosity I checked out what General Hydroponics WaterFarm uses for air...

Round Polo Ceramic Airstone, bad or good?

I sure like this type of airstone it's just that it's so expensive here. The first one I posted is a lot cheaper so I wanted peoples opinions but maybe nobody here has tried them. Wouldn't mind buying from another country but transportation would be expensive, those air stones are pretty heavy...

Round Polo Ceramic Airstone, bad or good?

The second one in size of 200mm cost 35USD(33AUD). The first one is 125mm and cost 12USD(11AUD). Not a lot to choose between in this country :(

Round Polo Ceramic Airstone, bad or good?

I'm looking for opinions about this type of airstones for a 10 pot homemade DWC system. Will they start floating by themselves? This is what they look like: I'm already using some of these. Very handy because it keeps itself sunk and doesn't float up.

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

The temperature stays between 68f to 86f, so I'm close to the 90f you mentioned. I would say the average temperature is 79f. You sure are right, having it extremely crowded will cause problems! I guess many of my problems are because of that, just blowing a fan on the plants wont fix it. There...

    How to have stronger leaves

Can you see when the light is making the plants exhausted? Did I misunderstand? Didn't know that was even possible. So maybe I learned something new today :)

Branj's first Glog! - and grow season :)

Wish you good luck, hope you don't go in the trap of over watering like most people do(including me). People must have posted that a 100 times but I still managed to over water but lesson learned now hehe Whats the total of plants you are aiming for this season? Maybe more of an experiment to...

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

You should really get your DWC going, it's worked great for me. Only mistake I did was topping the reservoir they are sitting in with water, which you should never do. The roots should always have so free air for the roots. I kinda drowned them which caused edema even though I have lots of air...

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

Really hope I will get some pods out of this season :) My soil plants are actually a lot better now, had many soil problems! All the leaf curl plants I have managed to recover, new growth is normal. Some of the stunted ones I cut back and they seem to give out new healthy growth. Hope this is...

Slashroot's 2012 Pepper Season - Superhots under LED

Thanks for checking out my glog. They're extremely crowded I would say. When I started out I thought whatever why not place six plants in one box because I'm probably going to kill most of them anyway but I was wrong haha Dunno if that Trinidad Scorpion leaves are normal, now it's like the size...
