1020 Tray Inserts: Round? Square? Octagonal?

Hexagonal! They had eight sides in my head. Maybe it was six.  :shh:

1020 Tray Inserts: Round? Square? Octagonal?

I usually just get whatever's available, and I've had good results with all of the above.   Does anyone prefer one over the other? Has there been any research on optimal shape for starting peppers?

Shabu Shabu! SASBE & SFRB Offer

Just received the package today. I'll be starting a flat of each over the weekend for anyone interested, but right now it's very much a gamble. I have no idea how old the pods are or at what temperature they were dried, but I've also paid for premium priced seeds that resulted in poor...

I looked for seeds. None of my regular vendors have them in stock. Jenny Songs does at about $1/seed plus additional shipping from the UK. I'm sure that she's a great vendor and all, but it was too rich for my blood. I wasn't able to find a vendor with a solid rep that has them.

Shabu Shabu! SASBE & SFRB Offer

Not sure if I'd eat them myself. As I stated above, I'm not sure how they were stored or handled. They're coming from a rural part of what many would consider a third-world area. They haven't been tested for mold, lead, or uranium, but the seeds within the pods are the real value that I'm...

They're shipped from China.   From the various vendors to my exporter to me took a little over two weeks. Fresh pods would be mush, and almost impossible to move through customs.

Shabu Shabu! SASBE & SFRB Offer

I have 2kg of dried pods on my dining room table, which I've pictured above. I haven't opened or sampled any of them. I'd prefer to grow them out and try them fresh as opposed to trying them in their current state.   So, no fresh pods (yet), but I do have dried pods filled with seed for my...

No, why would you think that it's spam? Your grow was one of the reasons that I imported them to begin with.   I haven't tried any of them yet. I'm not sure how well the dried pods were handled or stored. I will only know how they taste once they're grown out. I believe that Nigel has a review...
