Here's my current topping experiment with 2 reapers in a DWC. It's obvious which is which. The topped one is very stout and is much wider. The untopped one has a much thicker stem and far fewer leaves.

Hmm, I'm not sure where you're getting those numbers for current. Without looking at the data sheet, I'm guessing 3.6A is the absolute max you can run these at, and they wouldn't be overly efficient at that power. You can vary the current just about as much as you'd like, as long as you don't...

Well, they are both basically hydro since the "soil" you see is Pro Mix and has no nutrients in it. The rockwool cubes with clay pebbles are definitely outperforming the Pro Mix plants though, with the same nutrients.
