While lookin thru the stalks for hidden ears, found this, Huitlacoche on a stubby ear. Have seen it before in street tacos but have never tried it. Any suggestions on a recipe it can be incorporated (hidden) in? Read that you can also freeze it but would go off of experiences here.

First ripened Red Savina of the season. Full of deep flavors, crunchy with a heat that built up and stayed warm but not overbearing. Made a quick Mac salad with roughly 1/3 of the pepper. Yeah. These are going to make a great relish, ?.many more starting to turn.

Welcome, growing Red Savina Habs and have had to resort to using shade cloth. They were growing rapidly during spring but as our first heat wave came they putzed out right at flowering. Post shade cloth double the flowers. I'll never look back. Scotch's are loving it too. Zone 7a sepa
