Thanks! I'll probably start some a little earlier than that, and start more every 2-3 weeks so I know I'll have proper plants to put out! lol I might end up getting a shop light, I like having all my CFL's in "clamp lights" so I can angle them all around my plants, depending on how much I grow...

Your Jalapenos are growing great!  They almost look like they are catching up to mine!  Now you have me questioning why mine are growing so slow haha

I'm intrigued to follow your over winter process!  Plants look great! Did you get your fungus gnat problem under control?  I'm facing a bad fungus gnat problem currently, was planning on over wintering my Jalapeno plant but might chop it down at first frost if I can't take care of them.  

Dollar for dollar I believe LED's provide more per watt.  Like I said, not an expert.  Years ago when I grew cannabis using florescents, I'd run florescents up the walls along the sides of my plants, as they don't penetrate.  But I could grow massive plants at a fraction of the cost of a 1,000w...

I'm no expert, but the most light you can give the better!  (well to a point).  I'd say 12-18 hours of light would be ideal.  Make sure you watch the temp, 400w can heat a room, it's like a small space heater.   My pepper plants were dropping flowers like crazy in July, I believe due to temps...

So I chopped my "Sugar baby" melons down, they hadn't put out female flowers in over a month, and only produced 3 SAD looking melons (softball sized), but they tasted great!  Too bad I had to pick through 6 million seeds to eat anything..   My other Crimson sweet only has one fully set melon...
