SKULLBIKER’S Let’s See How It Goes in 2018 GLOG

This is a great GLOG.  Really like your progress. Very nice results. I am getting ready to move a few plants from indoor aerogardens to 35 gallon outdoor kratky set-ups as they have no more space inside.

D3's 2018. This will be a good year.

The fatali x brainstrain is looking quite good. Glad to see you got that shaped pod.  That is what I was hoping for but not what mine is starting to produce.  The Naga Peach BBG7 looks quite nice as well.  Plants are quite far along, nicely done...    Pods will come.  Weather 30 miles east of...

    powder-flake Best peppers for powder???

Pecan smoked Bhut Orange Copenhagen was a really good single pepper powder for me and a really good mix was Murupi Amarela, Yellow Fatali with a few yellow douglah for added heat.  It turned out a nice yellow.

    Skunk pepper

I tried this pepper last night.  Very Floral upfront before and while the heat starts to build and then the flavor transitions to a more enjoyable fruity flavor.  Heat level is extreme.  The Wartryx genes are very noticeable throughout. Scorpion like bite attacks the whole mouth.  Not a pepper...

Pinched / Topped Plants vs UnImpeded Growing Plants

I pinched almost every plant I put out this season, about 125.  I almost regretted pinching them due to the fact that they did not get taller.  My scenario is unique in that I over plant and I know I do not properly space plants for maximum ease of gardening.   The stalks are quite thick but...

yield Year end and disappointed with yield

Weather wise it has been a very off year but I am curious as I am only 25 miles East of you. Has your season really been that bad due to the weather only or is from a lack a llamapoop?  While my plants are not as tall as they would be with warmer weather, my pod production has been almost...

indoor LEC LED or HPS in 4x4 tent

I am very new to this community but spend a god deal of time in another pepper community. In that community there are several growers that swear by the CMH and have used them through entire growth cycles on 400W set-ups in 4 x 4 tents. The results they have posted are phenomenal.  I personally...

Wrinkly and Pimply but is it a Reaper?

Or even better, you go through the effort to properly label everything with markers at each plant and make your map with proper labeling per location and the you realize your kids were playing with the ID tags before you mapped it out.    This is why my Choc. Scotch Bonnet looks like a JPGS and...

[Jul 31] What are you working on this week?

AJ,     Last season I went straight from pods into soil and was completely surprised by my results.  I planted 20 seeds in 10 small planters, left them in the 50% sun in Aug and 17 of the 20 sprouted.  It might be worth noting that the 3 that did not sprout were superhot varieties but non the...

    vendor Pepper Donkey on G+

I am new here on the THP but have dealt with Pepper Donkey on Google+ for over a year now.  Great guy and customer service is awesome.  Have several varieties going now from their seed stock.  My germination success rate was great.

    vendor whitehotpeppers

I have communicated with Justin from  Whitehotpeppers and he is a straight forward guy, very polite, professional and has some good connections and offers a large selection of varieties I had not seen before, but I am new into the quickly expanding world of hybrid/crossed peppers.  I have...

How many plants can you manage?

I have typically had between 30-50 plants for the last 8 seasons.  Last year I moved and bumped that up to 75.  This season I did a lot of work in the preseason and built 2 more raised beds and have 141 plants in the ground, another 24 in fabric pots and another 7 inside in Kratky containers. ...

    Greetings from Illinois

Hello and good day to all,   I am a newbie to this community but not to pepper growing. This is my 10th season. I hope I can continue to learn from other members/veterans and possibly help out those with less experience if and when possible.     Best Regards,
