That might be an option! Deffo, something to investigate for next season    Well the only changes I did, was reducing the amount of ferts, to the levels mentioned before. My health issues also meant that watering returned to topping up when needed, and not so much watering the pots...

A current struck of bad health took me out of the game for some time, but chilies are doing fine!    My Aji is shooting out pods like there is no tomorrow! As the observant one might notice, those pods look nothing like little fingers - time will tell if they even turn orange       I've also...

I've actually been looking into air-pots. Unfortunately they don't meet the acceptable-looks requirement, so until further notice, I will have to stick with decent looking plastik pots         These are my bottles:

Thanks. I will keep that in mind. During the hot period, instead of watering thoroughly, I've just been topping up. Might also be the reason, with regards to salt buildup.

Just ramble away, Chilidude no worries.    I followed a hunch that it might be a fertiliser issue. The extremely hot days ment watering almost every day - resulting in over-fertilising, I think. I chose to omit the ferts completely and (maybe combined with cooler weather and higher humidity)...

I will try that Upon further inspection Ive noticed that, especially Bullet and Cumari, are dropping flowers in all stages, from full blossom to small not even developed flower buds. Could something else be an issue? Thanks Nope, not dry at all, normally. And the past several years Ive...

That might be it. We currently have the hottest pre-summer in forever here in Denmark. No rain, just plenty of sun from a blue sky - all of which is quite the opposite of what the danish weather normally has in store Looking at the humidity it is actually (outside) around 30-40%. Ive never...

Yup they do. And I make sure to give the plants a good shake every day

They are doing fine - but still all flowers drop on Aji, Tobago, Bullet and Cumari. So far only chilies on the Czechoslovakian and a couple on the TigerMAMP, which also doesn't seem to suffer (as much) from the flower drop.    Will post some photos when time permits

Thanks Yeah I know. Usually I put it down to being overly obsessed about it Normally, when I start to think less about it, chilies start popping up all over

Long overdue update. Things are looking good. I'm down to "only" six plants - the rest were given to friends and relatives. It's funny to observe how the different plants show so big difference in growth rate and pattern - you can easily tell the difference. So far all plants, except the...

Thanks! The Aji and Tobago was started in late January, the rest was started mid/late February     I just took a photo during repotting today, holding the phone horizontally - we will see how that turns out Edit: VICTORY!   Aji root-porn

Thanks a lot     Nope, I'm not checking the ph, as I don't have any (fancy) equipment for doing so.

Congrats on the 500 posts!   Thanks a lot Plants were started during the last half of January.   I like your theory, but on iPhone I don't have any setting for auto-rotate. As you say, the photos show up correctly in my gallery, on both phone and Mac. Furthermore, when attaching photos to...

Time flies and again it is time for an update     Everything is growing well in my window sill garden! Especially the Aji is taking off like crazy. It really never lets me down. The Peachgum TigerMAMP is still looking really pale, and I think it might be a special albino type All other plants...

That's also my experience. Definitely let them get nice and ripe before picking them

I agree that it's not the bells and whistle type of chili. I've grown it every year for the past five, and it has yet to let me down. It grows like a weed and produce pods like crazy! I rate it a little bit below Aji Lemon with regards to both taste and hotness. I usually dry them and find...

Thank you!  I was also under the impression that it should be more colorful. Guess time will tell what it turns into

I also wanted to give an update on that slightly mouldy buildup on top of my soil that I mentioned earlier. I've been testing the difference between one pot with 100% coco coir and a pot with 3 parts coco coir and 1 part pumice. Same size of pot and plant and same watering routine.  As you can...
