    Dying Plants (Cayenne + Habanero)

So I think it's the end of the road for my first chilli plants. It was all going great until the bugs came along, mealy worms + gnats. After drenching them over and over with Neem oil I think it's wrecked their soil now. It's becoming winter here in Australia, we have a serious cold snap and...

    Gnat Problem

Thanks for all the information everyone!  So I've been watering my chilli plants way less, and I have a layer of diatomaceous earth on top, which really seems to help.  I still see them, but not many.  I'm also using stickies constantly, which seem to keep their numbers down.    I think I...

    Gnat Problem

Phew,  so I've finally gotten my Mealy Bug problem under control (was brutal) but now I still have a Gnat problem.  I've been pouring Neem Oil (mixed with water) all over the plants and I've soaked their soil twice but still they thrive. I've ordered some Gnat stickies to catch the adults...

To Prune or Not To Prune?

Heya!   So I am growing Cayenne and Habanero, almost ready to transplant into their final position.  I gave them a good pruning a while back, maybe about a month ago.  I cut the main stem off about leaving about 3 quarters. It seems to have worked very well, the stem is nice and fat...

Repotting Cayenne + Habanero into final pot

Right so I can easily identify that...this is a very noob question but: how can I check this? I have seen videos of people sliding the plants out to take a look - but when I try the soil just spills out everywhere... maybe once it's roots are really developed I can slide it out and the soil...

Repotting Cayenne + Habanero into final pot

Heya!   So I am growing Cayenne and Habaneros.  This is my first time growing, I've raised them from seed and done many transplants along the way. - My question is when should I repot them into their final, biggest pots?  I've read it's bad to repot whilst they are flowering...so...
