    spicy popcorn

I put a single drop of pure evil 13Million in my pot with the hot oil while popping last night. It definitely cranked up the heat, satisfied my fix, and I enjoyed it quite a bit! Besides the horrendous experience of accidentally dripping some of it on my hands and then skin and recently shaved...

chinense Khang Starr Lemon Starburst Seeds

Did you find the seeds you wanted? I got a bunch of these from LoneStarMastiff farms in a mixed pepper box, not sure if they’re exactly what you’re looking for but I happened to save the seeds because it was such a cool looking an interesting tasting pepper. 148 in the picture below; I’ll...

favorite What's your favorite Louisiana-Style hot sauce?

I took this advice and bought some pure evil drops. I got the 1.5Million but I need to explore the other, more intense, offerings as well. I started with a dozen drops but wanted more heat so I settled at 20 drops in a new bottle of Crystal and so far it’s lovely-a good burn with that same...

I am also quite enjoying this book right now too. Aside, DeWitt refers to the chilies as PODS throughout so some readers may be triggered :P

favorite What is your favorite smoky pepper that is not smoked?!😳

It’s a staple in my kitchen, the poblano and its dried representative the ancho. When I want just a hint of smoky flavor in a salsa or dish these are what i reach for. I’m also in love with just pan frying a poblano and snacking on it!

favorite What's your favorite Louisiana-Style hot sauce?

It’s official, Crystal is by and far my new favorite of this style; it miles above the others in depth of flavor and overall enjoyability for me. Of the recommendations here I vote Crystal, Louisiana, Tabasco in that order. I need to find the extra hot version mentioned now since these are all...

hobbies Any other flow/skill toy enthusiasts on here???

Not quite the same but im an avid twisty puzzle solver and collector…think complex and crazy variations of a Rubik’s cube. I have over 250+ “cubes” I often think about getting a yo yo as it seems like another fun niche thing I’d enjoy.

    spicy popcorn

I have 2 spicy salts in old shakers I keep on hand for popcorn. By mass a 4:1 salt to jalapeño mixture & and a 6 or 8:1 salt to super hot; it’s currently 7 pot primo powder. I just salt up my bowl with these & that gives a solid kick although inhaling the raw powder can be rough sometimes…but...

pests Best flowers to plant with pepper plants?

Has anybody had success with milkweed near their plants? It’s my first year growing but I have a bunch of productive milkweed on the opposite side of my house that always seems to have giant thicc bumble bees & lots of butterflies near them. Would having this near my pepper plants be...

favorite What is your favorite pepper to pickle?

Pepper roulette. Add 5-10 varieties in a jar and pickle however you like. For me it’s usually jalapeños, Serrano, red Fresno, manzana, caribe, poblano, Anaheim, banana, & habaneros. Its always fun to see what you’ll get dipping into the jar. I do a similar thing when I make ramen, all the...

    condiment 505 Salsa?

505 is the Albuquerque area code and these products are immensely popular in that area and the NM bordering states. IMO the entire product line is mid tier and a cleverly marketed marginal step up from products like Pace salsa and other budget brands. They aren’t terrible though, just meant for...

New Member Hello - Exploring Superhots!

Hi all! My name is Brian and I love peppers. I crunch big bells, poblanos, anaheim's, and other low to no heat varieties daily at lunch. At every job I've ever held I've been that goofy guy eating whole big peppers. Recently it occurred to me there is a whole world of peppers I haven't explored...
