Just to confirm it wasn't a bad batch. My impression on Pataks Phal was stodgy, bland and not very hot. I've had a couple of jars and put some chili's in the second to try and liven it up a bit but didn't really work well with the sauce. Best sauce you can get atm imo is Morrisons own brand...
