Does anybody use seed starting pods, usually made out of coco fiber, and do you plant the pod or do you remove your pepper and plant directly Into the soil. Thanks
SanPatricio: Thank you for the information. I did not know about this so I will have to do more research and seperate future tabacco plants to another area in my yard from my peppers in my green house.
scottmanb: That would be awesome. I'm pretty sure I have about 20 seeds, let me know how...
Im looking to either buy/trade for tobacco seeds. I would like to have at least 3 different varieties. I am willing to buy seeds off of someone or trade some of the following:

10 days ago I sowed 18 habanero seeds that I pulled out of a store bought mixture of peppers from the vegetable section. I now have 16 habanero plants growing. Thats like a 88% germination rate. So I think its safe to say that store bought peppers could also be grown in your garden.
I'm just looking for seeds right now. I go to the local markets around here and mostly all they have are fruits and vegetables and they sell a bunch of antique type stuff.
I dont know for sure what topic I should post under so forgive me if I am under the wrong one. Does anyone know of vendors that sell herbs, such as cilantro, parsley and mint etc.
Thanks for all the advice. I dried some peppers today and it went pretty good. I turned the oven on to 170(the lowest it will go) and left the door cracked. It took about 4 hours but they are dried out and ready to be put in a grinder.
Has anybody used the oven to dry out your peppers? I live in the UK so there isn't much sun and there is no point in me buying a dehydrator for only couple of peppers. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I am going to have to try it. I was letting them dry and the jalapeño seeds turned brown and the orange habs seeds still look good. I will throw out the jalapenos and grow the habs. probably soon and see if I can over winter but I will post results
My wife bought peppers and jalapeños from the grocery store the other day to make some salsa. She bought a assortment pack and it had orange habs, yellow habs, and cayenne and some scotch bonnet. I was wondering if I take the seeds out of those peppers will they be viable and actually...
It looks like my peppers have calcium deficiency and I have heard a lot of people use bonemeal. Well I went out to a local store and could not find bonemeal but I did find a box of "Fish, Blood, and Bone." I was wondering if this would help my peppers the same as bonemeal. Its also a powder so...
