Nice plants! Yeah i think next year ill be growing mostly indoors until june. We have 40 degree temp swings here in ND amd I think it is severely stunting the growth of my plants. Even notice it on my basil and tomatoes.
Bonide fruit and nut spray or BT (bacillus thuringiensis) is all you should ever need and both are organic.
Should resolve any critter issues. Once your critters are gone a good regimen of AACT tea will make a healthy plant ward off future intruders.
I use to live in FL where I could grow pretty much year round and have since moved to ND where temps are not in favor of growing.
What do u guys from the frozen tundra due to insure a harvest with such a short growing season for long season peppers like reapers etc?
I actually did put some food grade DE on em but they are so bad, and all in the pile. I also did not want to kill all th earth worns i have in there. Weather permitting I am in hopes of drying it out some.
Since we have been getting so much rain... The ants have sought higher ground in my outdoor compost bin. The only thing is the bin has become infested and i mean tons of them. How can i eradicate these things?
I have tried diluted milk as a foliar. It seems to work but very hard to tell as it is so humid and raining non stop.
Hey Geeme.. Will dry weathet kill off bls?
Im battling bacterial leafspot due to such high humidity from all the rain. Still cant get away from it and annmy plant are under my covered hoophouse!
BLS or bacterial leaf spot. There is no cure for it thus far. The Copper Fungicide will suppress or stop it from spreading. I am currently dealing with this issue here in wet, hot and humid Florida. I have read that diluted milk can help as well with a foliar application. So far i think...
Yo Rich! It would be cool if you wrote up a guide to composting etc. I know alot of us would really benefit from it. I know you have a tone of free time on your hands j/k.
