I guess the question is, different compared to what? Are you just asking what the taste difference is between a beef hot dog instead of pork / chicken / turkey / soy (or a combination of them and beef)? They are all very similar in taste, and they all taste like hot dogs; just because it's...
I ordered seeds about a year and a half ago. Even though I sowed like 100+ seeds I had major issues with fungus gnats and only about 10 plants made it to maturity. Of those, more than half were not what they were stated to be. Fortunately one that was true was a reaper, but I didn't even get the...
I've had peppers sit out on my counter for at least a month and still be fine. In the fridge they'll last even longer.
It makes me wonder what the hell they do to the ones I see in stores.
I would start them inside under the fluorescent light and then move them outdoors when it gets warmer. I'm in the east valley and my experience is established plants are fine outside pretty much year round. Once it gets close to or below freezing at night they'll need to at least be covered or...
I have had some just set fruit in the past couple weeks! Mine are in pots though so the ones I care about I'm bringing inside at night. I have one that is datil (I think) and it has a few peppers that have been mature and sitting on the plant for at least 5-6 weeks and still aren't ripe. I guess...
They definitely look like more like the TSBT. I checked the Melissa's website and the peppers aren't listed on there. Seems odd that they would even specify moruga if they are butch t? Most people wouldn't know the difference.
Here's a pic of them. They could very well be TSBT, I have no idea.
I ate one about 10 minutes ago. I gave it a good 10-15 second chew. The only other superhot I've had is a red bhut, so that's all I have to compare it to. The flavor of this one was very good actually... noticeably more...
I agree, they are kinda pricy. I haven't had them before and planned on ordering some online anyway, so this saves me some hassle and a few bucks to just try them.
I was surprised when I saw these at my local Fry's in Phoenix!
It's a 2 oz package with about 15 moderately-sized peppers in there for $9. They also had nice looking bhuts for the same price.
Submersible water pump sits in reservoir and pumps water out through 1/2" pvc pipe.
A single line of pvc pipe runs underneath each bucket.
I have "T" connectors (and an elbow at the end) with a 1/2" threaded tubing adapter (found at Lowe's or Home Depot). I drilled a hole in the bottom...
I remember you mentioning that it would be nice to be able to water a smaller area, like not having to flood an entire container when the plants themselves don't take up that much space. That's why I thought of the buckets. Well I basically ran into the same dilemma myself. Originally I had a...
I followed your old thread where you did this and did it myself (I am in the same area -- it gets hot).
I took five 5-gallon buckets, cut them to about 2/3 of their height, dropped 2 gallon fabric grow pots in each one (which leaves around 3/4 of an inch on each side for breathing room)...
I harvested one today. Here it is (left) pictured next to a red habanero (right) and a quarter:
Here it is on the inside:
Here is the inside (left) compared to the red habanero's (right). The walls are noticeably thinner than the hab's.
The taste was rather pleasant. It...
