    fermenting Fermented Habanero Sauce idea

I tried fermenting some habenerors and Datils, added onion and garlic to the brine and used a fermenting lid on a mason jar. After about 2 months I put them in a blender and puréed the mixture, then ran it through a chinois to filter. Was hoping to get something with the consistency of Tobasco...

    Growing Hops

I had the opposite, just vines and leaves first year and the hops starting the second year. I have mine in an area of my yard that doesn't get a lot of intense direct sun and they still do pretty good. They are Cascade variety.

    vendor Ebay windsong-2

I ordered some Thai Sun seeds from them for the 2014 season.  Great germination, plants grew true, but there was some variation.  Majority were bushy type plants with ~1" pods.  However, one plant grew much larger and produced pods that were 2-3" long.  Both tasted great.  I actually still have...

Anyone try the Galaxyhydro 300W LED?

Looking to get an LED light to start seedlings until its time to bring them outdoors.  For the past two years, I've used a Sunleaves Pioneer VIII in a 4x4 grow tent and have had outstanding results.  However, I dont want to setup the grow tent this year (takes up too much room), and I also want...

Thanks for sharing NeedsWork and t0mato. Where are you getting your seeds? I have been getting mine from a few vendors on eBay and have been satisfied for the most part (have had a few plants that don't turn out to be what they are supposed to be). Definitely would love to hear any...

    Wanna make hot-wing sauce

I would agree with Joyner, its much easier to find a nice sauce to use as a base and then just add ingredients to get it to where you want it to be, especially if time is of the essence, which it sounds like it is. I have always liked Wing It Buffalo sauce as a base, its got a good flavor and...

Looking for input on making hot pepper oil

Greetings, looking for some input on making some hot pepper oil. I'm thinking it would be used mostly for stir fry, so I was thinking of using sesame oil as the base. Some questions I have that I'm hoping others can provide input on are: What types of oil have people used and how did it come...
