My plants in 1 L pots

I had them at the edge of my Polly tunnel so they were mostly shaded from the wind plus I had a few cobblestones that I propped  against each so they would topple over. Leave them all for now.In a few weeks to a month you will be able to tell if the bottom branches will be worth keeping. If they...

My plants in 1 L pots

When Superhots are left to grow naturally they will grow up and then split into 2 or 3 stems and then split again. The growth below the first split normally comes to nothing.I leave all the leaves on but they were starting to go yellow and since its nearing the end I removed them.If you top you...

My plants in 1 L pots

Yeah.I think it was the constant wet/dry/wet/dry that probably helped plus every watering had half strength Dyna-gro in it.The pods are just as big and some bigger than my full hydro Moruga plus I had almost no flower drop until the end.All they early flowers set which was nice.I may do a a...

My plants in 1 L pots

I was growing a few plants to sell at the markets and got left with these two Yellow Morugas.I was too lazy to repot them up as my polytunnel was already full so I just left them in the 1 L pots. I feed them a either Dyna-grow bloom or Grow depending on my mood. Its been really hot here in NZ so...

    The Great Kiwi Pepper Thread

I was  bit lazy this year and didnt stake up a lot of my plants so when they got heavy from the fruit I lost a lot of branches with green pods.I ended up throwing them over the fence and a few days latter the pods were starting to colour up.I then started collecting all the broken branches and...

Reapers take 10 weeks to ripen(Red) from pollination. If you cut the branch off with the Reapers on and put it into a container of water and put it in the shade they will ripen faster but you probably dont want to do that   :) My Devils brain got a very bad dose of curly leaf and then a massive...

    Who Tops Their Peppers?

I will always top my plants from now on.The ones which I do not top grow a single tall stem and then split into either 2 or 3 main stems, then split again etc. With topping they grow many strong branches from the base.I think they produce much more although they really do need to be staked...

    container Container size maximum?

Last season I grew in 13,17,29 and one 42 gallon pot.I found that anything over 17 Gallons had diminishing returns so this season I am only using 13 and 17 gallon pots. Here is a graph showing harvest weights compared to pot size

    grow room(closet) humidity issue

Good stuff As soon as you install those fans you may end up having the reverse problem of not enough humidity. low humidity and high temps are the main reasons why indoor peppers don't set fruit. You can hang a rung out wet towel from a coat hanger inside the tent to raise the humidity.Just...

    grow room(closet) humidity issue

yeah thats heaps. As you say if using HID lights you need as much exhaust as needed to cool a light but LEDs don't produce the heat so you are good. You could even put the exhaust on a timer to go on very 15 mins or so if you need to keep a bit of heat in
