The reason for this is for CBD cultivar genetics development. In the industrial hemp program anything over 0.3% THC has to be destroyed. Which has a side effect of making any CBD genetics development impossible, as all of the CBD plants started out with a high THC maternal lineage. (E.g. the famous Neville's Haze marijuana strain begat the high CBD variety Suver Haze, etc).

Anyway, I can't develop my own CBD varieties if I can't first cultivate high THC varieties and selectively breed them to swap the THC:CBD ratios around.

So .. we'll see. The latest I heard is there will be a tiered licensing system for recreational marijuana, with "craft grower" sized licenses that'd probably be about perfect for what we need for genetics development.

You know that 0.3% is only delta-9, not total THC, right?

Thanks for the info on the Dual Magnum. I'll have to start looking into the volatility of those herbicides too. Maybe I'll call the inspector.

Yes, I know re: cannabinoids.

That's it, in each set of pics there's a top and a side view. The top view shows both plants of each type. (They were potted up in 2x2 arrangement on either side of the table)

I remember last year you mentioned a pepper started selling really well towards the end of the season and that you were going to grow more of them this year. Not a hot one, I think, what was it? Thanks.

Last year, I ran my peppers in POBGS in a mixed array of pots from 4 litres all the way up to 60 litres. This year, I believe I am standardizing on 12 litre (a little over 3 gallons) pots with a coir-perlite-vermiculite mix and run-to-waste hydro nutrients. I had really hoped that the 12 litre pots would be the right choice with coir and I wouldn't need those huge pots anymore. Now that I seen Trent using them, I think I made the right choice.

Tekne dolmasi did well for us. I have 500 of them growing in the greenhouse this year.

The 3 gal pots are an interim step for most of these. Last year I had them get very badly root bound in 3 gal pots. They didn't produce much in the way of peppers, either, at least, the chinense didn't. Some of the annuums got pretty loaded up. Plan this year, since these are seed peppers, is to do chinense in 15 gal and annuums in 3 gal, but all take a stop in 3 gal first. Only so much room and I still have all of the peppers waiting to get sold or go in the dirt taking up room. As many pics as I posted above; keep in mind I'm only 1/6 of the way done potting up seed peppers. Got like 400 to do total

thanks! Been crazy busy. Got our cannabis license from IL Dept of Ag Bureau of Medicinal Plants, so will be starting a LOT of cannabis this week. Got 20,000 cannabis sativa seeds on the way right now.
