Porch Plants still good. Started a few seeds, only couple inches tall and not growing much.

Well, you have an idea, why dont't make it real and be safe. Tunnels make it better anyway, protecting from... well, everything you had live through there. It's awful you had it that bad ;/

At my family's house I remember there always was a polly tunnel and it was so hot inside you couldn't breath if not opened for few hours. SO MANY TOMATOES! Paradise I will always have burnt in my brain. Father did grow some of Dorset Nagas inside this year, I heard, and they were amazing.

Buy a polly tunnel! Dont't let go of your pepper paradise dream 🙉

lol Thanks!
Yup enthusiasm is very low as many have guessed.
I checked out my five year old Horseradish that had leaves 4 ' long, was expecting big roots, Fk, barely any strands and no Radish taste, slight after taste , Thats it.
Something is very wrong. Neighbours and others the same thing.

Well, your hardiness zone looks awful, polytunnel may help there but I don't know if it will be enough for those temperatures - greenhause would do better probably but it's much bigger investment. You could install some kind of heater or wood burning stove to get the temperature up... There is few ways to get temperature up inside the foil tho. Aphids would love the place probably, and other plant lovers, so you'd have o deal with that, going hard on them all with that stinky neem oil every two weeks for all season. ;/

As for bad harvests it may be lack of nutrients in the ground. I don't know what do you use for that, if you replenish them from time to time etc. Also - from my own experience but without proper knowledge I can say that tomatoes ripening in lower temperatures at the end of the season are mild af and doesn't even taste like tomatoes - it may be due to something completely different than temperature but I kinda always believed that's the case (slower developing, less life in the plant, it doesn't eat as much as it could but still wants to give seeds etc etc my crazy brain trying to get into it's green mind).

Thanks!
Yup Aphids always been a battle.
I always add kitchen waste to the garden, lots of coffee grounds, so no shortage of nutrients.
Just as an experiment, I used mirical grow on one are, made no difference whatsoever.
Greenhouses are expensive been contemplating that for years, so finally figure $260 for 10x20x7 Polly tunnel cheapest way to go..
