4 new trees in 20 gal containers

This is the most buds and blooms I've seen on these trees .

I just picked up a nice bearlass lime tree from costco for $18.99. Pics to follow after transplanting into permanent container.
 
I just ordered a dwarf Honey Babe Peach Tree. I will be getting it next month. My Freestone ripens in late May and this one in mid-late July which will give me some later fruit. Right now my plum, nectarine and peach all ripen in May-June. I didn't plan that out very well had I the chance to do it over I would have one ripen in May then June, July and August to spread out the harvest over several months instead of all at once. These were the first trees I planted in my yard and didn't look to see the harvest times lol.
 
I learned my lesson on those trees and my 4 orange/mandarin trees start ripening in December- April. The same with my 8 Avocados all at different times through the year.

My newest addition to my container fruit garden arrived this afternoon and I just put it in a half wine barrel. It's a dwarf honey babe peach treee that the fruit ripens in my area in August. In January I add my last tree which will be a white nectarine which ripens in September.

Now I just have to wait until January when the September ripening semi dwarf White Nectarines Tree's become available then my orchard will be complete......... :P
 
We just started enjoying our Freestone Peaches that started ripening this week. Our plums and nectarines will start in the next couple of weeks. I love this time of year.

The local nursery by my house carries them and home depot has the dwarf stock on various citrus trees.
 
I'm going to order some 30 gallon fabric pots and transplant 6 of my avocado trees into them from their 20 gallon plastic containers. I will do this after the weather cools down this fall. 
 
The heat this year has been brutal so I picked up a 10x10 shade tent as Dick's for 1/2 price only $49.99. My Avocado Trees are under it as the 100 plus weather was burning allot of the leaves on them. I also transplanted 4 trees into 1/2 wine barrels.
 
How are you protecting these trees from freezing in the winter?

Those quarter wine barrels seem like they'd be difficult to move around.

They are heavy and I have my son help me when I need to move them. All my trees can take temps between 18*- 28*. It rarely gets below 30* where I live and I have 2 avocado trees that need protection when it gets around 30* and I cover them during the night when it gets that cold.
 
All my citrus are doing well and full of fruit right now with the exception of my meyer lemon. I just gave it a real healthy pruning and we will see if that helps come this spring. All my avocados are doing fantastic and look their healthiest since buying them. I'm looking forward to spring to see how they fruit this upcoming season. I have high hope for them this year. They have put on lots of new growth both width and height. I will try and post some pics later.
