7 pot burgundy?

These were supposed to be, and may yet be 7 pot burgundy. Confirmations?

look right to me, kind of an off red right? Like red had a tiny drop of brown mixed in and stirred up

I agree, good on pizza. I should try a powder from them this year. I think joyners hot peppers makes a powder from them if I remember correctly.

Perhaps its variation as it quite common. Hard to tell with pics alone. Who know the pods that might come away with this strain?  As you know any variety can throw off different pheno pods, just depends upon percentages and how stable a particular cultivar is. Some will be quite variable..

     The shape seems about right and those little cracks are a giveaway or burgundies, but the color seems a little light/orangish. Mine were a deep brick red when ripe.

I had my doubts and that's why I posted them. Last years failed to germ so I was really counting on these. Love them powdered.

yea those  look good to me mine are about the same color. just slightly darker than regular reds

Yes, it was your powder that sparked my interest in growing these. It ran out too soon, but it was great while it lasted.

I had burgundies this year that never got the brown tint.  But of all the 7 pots, they are definitely my favorite, flavor-wise.

It was my understanding that these were stable, but I have seen a lot of variation with different growers...  More than I'd expect.  Where did you get your seeds?
 
Sorry, I know it's an old topic, but I didn't have anything to add at the time!  It caught my attention, now that I've grown them out.
