breeding a Bhut Jolokia X Jalapeno Cross?

Can the ghost pepper be crossed with a jalapeno or serrano? Earlier this year, I was given some seeds that were supposed to be ghost pepper. Now after the plant has matured I've noticed that the pods look more like an annuum pepper simular to a jalapeno or serrano. But the pods are not smooth like a jalapeno, they have ridges on them.

With a pic it looks like an annuum. By touch you can feel the ridges.

Could a bhut jolokia pod have crossed seeds where the plant grown from such seed look so much like a serrano? Or was I just given seeds of a serrano? I've heard that such crosses the heat of the pods tend more to the heat of the hotter pepper?

Still waiting for it to ripen. These peps are taking a long time to ripen. Already about twice as long as jalapeno. My habs don't take as long to ripen. Of course the Jal and Habs are not the ground while this plant is in a pot.

looks like serano.... tell us how it tastes

Thick flesh
Sweet bell pepper type taste

First one had just a slight tinge of heat.

Second one had a jalapeno+ heat in the mouth but a more intense heat hit the back of the throat.
It felt like the heat in the mouth was trying to build but just couldn't.
