fertilizer A Hypothetical Fertilizer Question

Theoretically speaking, could I run a complete fertilizer (I'm looking at Dynagro Foliage Pro 9-3-6, which simplifies to 3-1-2) throughout the entire growing season and not need another base nutrient?

I'm using 150ppm/7.5pH tap water so I will also be supplementing with calmax at about 10% of my desired end nutrient ppm.

Thoughts? Input from anyone with experience growing chilies with Dynagro would be appreciated! This will be for hydro and soilless mixes by the way.

You can run the DynaGro stand alone, with no addition of CalMag, for the entire life of the grow.  If you have access to CNS17, it works even better.  But both are fantastic.
 
 
Damn, guys, those are some healthy plants. I'm staying to realize that as long as the basic macro needs are met, no steep input of phosphorus is going to magically cause blossoming/blossom production. It even sounds like if too much P accumulates in mineral soils it can become phytoxic and cause some other nasty lockouts.

That would CNS17-grow by botanicare, correct? (3-2-4). Honestly I've never heard of the stuff but I'll do some research into that for sure.

I've never used botanicare so I'm not familiar with that product. Are these the ones you are talking about?

Less complete nutrient profile than say DG in terms of micronutrients, which growing media would you use this for? Looks like it would be great in the ground. DG for hydro, and this for soil

I will tell you the CNS17 is specifically designed for DTW, but it works very well for hydro, also. (yes, I have)

For your soilless media, run this in conjunction with a fish fert - alternate at every other feeding - and you'll be a happy dude. It's the superior fert to DG, if for no other reason, it stays together longer. DG has a much more limited shelf life.

Thanks. I think I'll try both DG and CNS17 for now to compare. DG for hydro and the others (CNS17+fish) in my potted mixes/in the ground. I'll just buy a smaller container of DG just in case it does separate.

That's my advice. DG should be used quickly, CNS you can store much longer.

The DG has a tendency to fall out of suspension, and calcify at the bottom of the jug, when keep around...
