Hi guys, after being on the forum for a couple of months i have to ask....

Are Chinese and Chinense the same thing, or 2 totally different things? Initially i thought that when people wrote Chinense, they'd just mis-spelt Chinese....but then i started seeing a lot of topics with Chinese too, which then baffled me even further!

So i was just wondering if Chinense is possibly the most mis-spelt word in the Hot Pepper fraternity, or whether both Chinese and Chinense have merit!?

Chinense is the right biological name, which is used in biological books.
Chinense and Chinese are the same, some people like to write Chinense and some Chinese.
But they mean the same.
You can write both.

Don't make taxonomy any worse than it already is:.....chinense.....
