chinense A special Scotch bonnet? Or, just regular?

Is this what a normal Scotch looks like?  Anything special about it?  Or just regular?  Is the below taste description unusual?
 
I've done lots of internet search and my sense is that this Scotch bonnet variety I have is a little bit different.  The shape is very consistent (see pictures attached). Other pictures I've seen online appear to be unstable and look like crosses with habanero or congo chilis. I lucked into the seeds from a Jamaican national who lives near my parents. 

Also, I wouldn't describe it as sweet or very fruity.  I think I would describe it as extremely delicious and...musky, which is a word I've never heard used for peppers (I've tried to watch all of the taste testing videos I can on Youtube about Scotches).  Almost like a well aged cheese.  I read a little bit about the history of Scotches and, apparently, they were also called 'goat peppers' because they smelled similar to goats.  Having been to a petting zoo, I get what they're saying.  Aside from what that image does to my head, they are extremely tasty and do amazing things for a taco.  When you cut into the pepper, you instantly smell their aroma, which is very pleasant.
 
So, anything special here?  Or, just regular?

I am going with right but maybe not normal to be right.  Lots of people call lots of shapes Scotch Bonnets.  I think what you got there is the right shape. 
 
     Judging by the size of the seeds/pedicel and the thickness of the flesh, I'd say it has some annuum in its blood. Probably a Jamaican mushroom pepper.

I see why you say that, but the calyx is way smaller.

Annum calyxes are much larger than those of this Scotch (particularly the Jamaican mushroom pepper's).  I'm not saying that it doesn't have some of that genetics in its past, I'm just pointing out a significant difference.
 
Firstly there are many types of Scotch Bonnets in all shapes and sizes such as UFO shaped, elongated and bulbous ... what most would consider the perfect pheno is the MoA - Jamaican Ministry of Agriculture SB although there are many close to that pheno those being Allen Boatmans True Jamaican SB, P.Dreadies Select, Beth Boyd's and finally the Yellow Foodarama .. great to read you lucked into potentially authentic seed from Jamaica if the neighbor to your parents sourced them from there. They certainly have the shape but I agree with some of the earlier comments with reference to taste .. most SB's have a floral aroma which is clear not musky but this season I grew again a bonnet similar to yours "Schnieder Farm" which didn't have that overwhelming flora taste and had a thicker wall than most

The Jamaican Mushroom pod has a flatter top so I would rule that variety out .. shame we couldn't see the pods on the plant ... Annumm leaves being more spear shaped rather than the usual SB C. Chinense a broader hand sized shape leaf

Good answer, quite thorough.

I grew Schneider Bonnets this year, I got some seeds from you. The pods were more elongated than the "proper" Bonnet pheno, but I agree regarding the thick walls and flavor being less floral than the average Bonnet. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but they weren't as "Bonnetacious" as I'd like.

On a related note, some internet sources indicate that Foodarama and Beth Boyd Bonnets are the same thing, the story being that it was Beth herself who has collected seeds from particularly rad Bonnets she had found at her local FoodaramA super market. Trident Chilli, as one of THP's foremost SB authorities, can you confirm or disconfirm that rumor?

I'm growing SB7J, and other than mine being red, these look just like them. I know I didn't get the desired pheno, as they are still unstable. I was disappointed at first, but I ended up really enjoying them for what they are...which I assume is pretty much a Scotch Bonnet.
 
Looks pretty spot on! However I can't tell ya if the flavor is special, so if you liked it, save seeds and grow it again. You could have a different flavor going, or you could just be a weird taster.
I've definitely had some superhots that smelled like wet goat or body odor, but never a pepper as mellow as a sb. 
 
I shall do better.  First I posted it under 'ID Help' but then felt that thread didn't get used as much so I also posted it here.  I shall do better in the future.
 
I see quite a bit of variance each year in the FL markets down here each year between pods marked "Scotch Bonnet" / "____ Caribbean Habanero". For me its all about if they have that strong fruity aroma / flavor, or not.
 
I've had fruity and I've had floral.  This is not those.  Entirely enjoyable, though.  There are citrus notes, but the dominant flavor is Scotchy, musky.  I liked the flavor enough that I would sauce it straight with just vinegar and salt.
 
I'm stoked to grow these. Thanks again for sending seeds, Lee. Looks like they got thicker-than-average walls for a Bonnet. I'll be smoking some of these, I reckon.
