Adjika
Traditional recipe from the Caucus region of Russia and Georgia. Thicker than usual sauce, and great on just about anything!
- 3 big red bell peppers
- 4 carrots
- 5 tomatoes
- 4 hot peppers
- 1 garlic clove
- 3 onions
- 125 grams of white mushrooms
- 2 Tablespoon paprika powder
- 1 Teaspoon salt (optional to your taste)
- 1 Teaspoon black pepper (optional to your taste)
- 1 Teaspoon
- 1 Teaspoon cumin (optional to your taste)
- 200 Milliliter olive oil
Instructions
Dice all vegetables and mushrooms. Put all vegetable ingredients and the paprika powder into a blender and chop them. Pour the mixture and the olive oil in a pot and bring everything to the boil. Simmer it on medium heat for at least 30 minutes and flavour it with black pepper, cumin and salt optional to your taste. Let cool, then serve.
