AHHH Labor Day

This holiday means more to me than any other (non religious) holiday. I have worked Industrial job since I graduated high school. I graduate in december with a degree in industrial electronics, and currently work in maintenance for Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Alabama. I love my job and believe that industrial jobs and farming are the back bone of our country. This country was built with steel and agriculture... I say this because I heard someone say that they didnt understand labor day, and why we celebrate people working in steel mills and farmers and any other labor intensive jobs... So I told them who do you think you are?! you think your better than laborers?! Who do you think built your house?! who do you think grows your food?! without laborers this country stops!... So thank you to all laborers! and have a great labor day!

‎"Labor Day is a holiday held the first Monday in September to commemorate the achievements of American workers.Though it is now an established fixture on the North American calendar, the first workers' holiday was born out of struggle and defiance. Parades and rallies were a staple of nineteenth-century working-class protests, and Labor Day emerged from those patterns."

Cheers man! We still struggle!
