There's this quirky little story -- less than a page in length -- by scifi writer Fredric Brown (he wrote a great many of these super-short, but utterly brilliant tales before he died in 1972 -- am i making it obvious that i'm a fan?). I think the story's title was "Answer".
Essentially, this advanced civilization builds a super-computer to answer a question that has confounded its builders for untold eons... when it's built they ask it the question, "Computer, is there a God?".
It answers, "There is now...".
Thank you... i think the original author told it MUCH better, but i had to share.
