Aji Benito?

This is from a mis-labeled or mis-shipped seed pack which was supposed to be Aji Limon. It's certainly a baccatum but it ain't no Limon. The closest I could come to a match from chilie databases is an Aji Benito. The pods have nice heat, and are crunchy with the light citrus fruity taste associated with some baccatums.

Pods:

The plant is 4' tall and 4' wide ( see yardstick in the center ) and covered in pods. The flowers have 7 petals.

Any other possibilties?

Can't help you with an ID but I agree with PL... very nice plant and pods!

From what I've seen in photos, it does closely resemble Aji Benito, doesn't it? You may have answered your own question.

yes your description sure points to it being aji benito, i have seen and eaten it many times and use them in one of my hot sauces, so i would say yes

thanks your friend Joe
