aji panca

looks like i'll be overwintering some aji panca

planted seeds in jiffy pots the ned of february (before I found this place)

no germination; all the other seeds from this round are all outside now

a few weeks ago, i was watering some peppers in pots i had set inside the tray that the jiffy pellets were in; they go heavily soaked

just went to clean up my grow area, and at least 2, maybe 4, of the aji's have sprouted

if i can get them to continue, they'll go in containers, overwinter (the wife is gonna love this), and they'll be good to go next year

Those things are painfully slow to do EVERYTHING. There are several of us that overwintered a few in the past (or now), though. Good luck!!

I started some in January. They took 3-4 weeks to germinate. One plant I potted up right away. It now has 12 ripe or ripening pods on it! Yippee. So they germinated in February and now they have ripe pods.

mine are just poking their heads out of the soil

zone 6a......i probably have until mid october until we see dangerously cold nights.....and i may have access to a local greenhouse if i am close enough to stretch them out a little

i'd be surprised, but ya never know
