An interesting mystery...for me

PaulG very kindly sent me a large assortment of aji Amarillo seed way back last November, and I planted a bunch from two different baggies, one marked F5 and one marked aji Amarillo Peruvian 2015.
 
Two of the plants that grew out of the aji Amarillo Peruvian I do not believe are, and I didn't get real suspicious until blossoms opened. I PMed Paul and he has no idea, so you guys get to take a stab at it.
 
The suspect:
 

 
Note that this plant is producing WAY more flowers than any of the amarillos, and the flower stems droop significantly:
 

 
The blossoms themselves are half the size of amarillos and bear no petal artwork whatsoever. Also the obvious: Purple on the inside. PaulG thinks a cross, perhaps a Bhut-Jolokia, me? This is my first exotic grow, guys...  I'd have to make it up....
 

 

 
Oh, and like I told PaulG, my apologies for the camera work. We can't all be Geonerd or Dragonsfire or Pepper-guru or JHP or......

i've got just 1 limo rojo and its absolutely loading up.
they are a nice heat and flavor. I am probably going to replace my redhab/savina with Aji Limo rojo.

Matt, so far I'm only getting yellow. I left one on the sill for several days and there was no turning orange or red.
 

 
Out of three Mystery Pepper plants, two are producing yellow, one is producing red. I ate one yesterday and it was a sweet delight, but the heat was
VERY medium/mild, not what I'd have expected at all.
 

 
Not a lot of seed nor placenta either. These are marvelous pods though.
 
Tell me of the heat you experience. Mine are nowhere near habanero.

It dawns on me that I made a confusing remark when I said that I'm only getting yellow ones, then said one plant is putting out red ones.
 
What I meant was that my Limos aren't changing color from the yellow or the red, and the red ones aren't going through any other colors to get to red...

Yes, I'll agree that the one turning red has some yellowish edges, but it isn't waiting to be all yellow before turning red. My paprika actually turn brown before turning red more than these turn yellow. It would have been neat if they did.
 
Then again, at least in this pic, it's more of an orange.....

Mine are pretty hot for me. They are certainly not snackers.
I know many of Dale's recipes call for deveining the limos.
 
 
looks like you got yourself an interesting mild Chinense or cross.
Looks to have decent size too.

Oh yeah, easily 4-6 inches.
 
I've noticed that on some of these the purplish patches stay when ripe, like a sunburn. But that's hardly possible, the way they hide near the ground beneath the canopy.
 
Then the heat. Good and hot you say? That is interesting. I can taste the potential for hotter, it's that kind of flavor. You don't suppose it's environmental, do you? My baccatums so far have all been singe-the-nosehair spicy, and my Dreadie-Mahalas are easily twice that, so I don't know.
 
They are deliciously sweet and tasty though, so I won't complain!

Aji Limo or not, these peppers are great, and I'm getting a lot of them, mostly the yellow ones.
