And I don't even have a good story to go with it...

Well, last night I was in the home office helping my wife and when I finished I got 2 steps into the hall and there was a POP and a lot of pain in my right foot. After a trip to the Centra Care and several X-Rays, it's broken. I get to see the foot doc today to see if it's going to require surgery or not. Now it doesn't bother me that I have a broken bone in my foot, what bugs me is that I broke a bone in my foot AND I don't even have a good story to go with it. Hence, this post. I thought we could have some fun with this, though knowing some of y'all it might be at my expense :) So give me story to tell. I'll start it off and y'all go from there.

No kidding, there I was....

Have fun,
RM

Bill, ....When your put your foot down you really mean business. Now you do have a leg to stand on...

Sorry, but seriously ...What happened? First time or was this a reacurrance?

Greg

Greg, this makes the third broken bone in my feet. I was told by a foot doc that I probably have stress fractures from my 20+ years active duty and they continue to stress until you finally put the right pressure at the right angle and pop, it breaks. It's a small price to pay for 20 years putting boot to butt for my country but I also kind of hope this is the last time.

Coheed. I'm not saying, nobody saw me and you can't prove it

nah, I heard he was wrestling an alligator (who was in the process of the death spin) while trying to avoid being bitten by a water moccasin whole family of baby water moccasins (worse than adults). The gator you see was trying to eat an elderly woman, who needed help crossing the road.

In the melee he broke his foot. on a sharks face.

You could just say that you were sparring with Chuck Norris and broke your foot up side his head (and it hurt you more than it hurt him). :P

Dang Bill I think I need to subscribe you a dose of spicy chocolate milk every morning for the next 6 to 8 weeks.

Glad your are taking it so well. Not sure I would of ;)

Wow that sucks!!! Talk about bad luck! Here and I thought I was in bad shape from my plantar faschitus or however you spell it lol. Hope your foot heals quickly! That is very odd to just be walking like normal, then all the sudden your foot is broken? Are you getting enough calcium or giving it all to your plants!? LOL

I broke my 5th meditarsal in my right foot on the job years ago. I jumped up to grab something off a slow line like I had done literally 122 times the day before and when I landed it broke. The nice thing is that with so many bone in the foot breaking just one little one is a bother, but not disabling.

SO there I was, picking my peppers when this hornworm the size of a child shows up. Dipple dust wasn't touching this bastard....

JHR, nice one, I like it.

JG, no hardware this time. Last 2, 5th Met on both feet but not at the same time got Titanium screws in them and that's when I quit jumping out of perfectly good airplanes.

Thanks Mega

So there I was, minding my own business when out of nowhere I hear this shattering sound. Turned out the house next door was being burglarized. I sprung into action, grabbing my trusty machete and made a b-line to the neighbor's place. Turned out to be an elite hit squad for a columbian cartel, who had tied up the neighbors, raped their cat and was setting up a north American base of operations. Swinging the machete an howling like a banshee, in I went - 3 steps into the house I stepped on a Lego and pop! Broke a bone in my foot - but even that wouldn't stop me. The next 45 seconds were a bit of a blur, with Columbian body parts flying everywhere. 3 of them were decapitated, 2 lost arms, one lost a leg. Those last 4 lay bleeding to death as I untied the family and called the CIA to come clean up the mess. Wouldn't you know it? Flat tire! So off I went, hiking 14 miles to the hospital only to find out there was nothing they could do - so I hiked the 14 miles back, cracked open a cold barley-pop & called it a day. Stupid Lego.
