5 peppers got an entire 6 pack; otherwise divided into 3 (half 6-p: yes; 6/2 = 3 [hotdamn am tired]) and will prick out. Entire 6: 1. BOC (Jason/GA Growhead) 2. MoA (but another half-6 of that from Walkgood/Ramon and Steve); 3. Tabasco (mine) 4. Bahamian Goat (Greg PIC1), and 5. JA Hab (Ramon/Walkgood)

Many thanks to Mike Rote/Barley_Pop for jerky   :drooling:  and Jason/GA Growhead, for sending me my own Orange Thai seed and the hottest damn powder I've ever had! :onfire: Also, thank you, John, Ark/Saw for the Harbor Freight coupons for "torch to burn honeysuckle roots." And everybody who has, via PM or otherwise, encouraged, offered ideas on new, additional growing space: fence is gone and if no rain, fell, limb, buck and split with two splitters 8 big trees, Maple, 4 Hickories, Pecan, Black Walnut, Poplar NEXT WEEKEND!

Also, would like ideas on that new (additional) space (100'+ x 50')  with stumps, most are to side except Maple. 1. burn 2. grind (cost prohibitive and don't think rented grinder would get it but might if ya'll have any ideas) 3. Work around them this year . . . raised beds, ugh, the work or level with huge dump truck topsoil. And again, work around what's left of stumps. Rip it in Feb. REALLY rich humus in half that on the "lots of trees" side: 25' x 100'+. Also, high side. Have considered dozer/bucket end of my and cousin's tractor just to help level and "share the wealth" of humus.

Hope everybody has kick-butt 2014 GROW! :fireball:

Edited 1-21-2014

Dang, guys: ya'll are just angelic! I'm so sorry because I miss ya'll and miss your updates: and at least somebody cares about me; (A tad self-pity? Shit naw. But thank you!)

My dingbat bro sorta had an encounter with a truck on his new Harley--man, that Hawg looks like, dunno, ya'll remember when twisted metal art was en vogue rage? But, little bro, had let's see, some "shoulder-work," hip-replacement, knee-replacement, few metal rods here and there. But, he's alive and actually walking with just a walker now, which beats critical condition and a month of intensive care.

Then my mother, insistent, as a mother should be, I suppose--she just turned 80--wanted to go see him at Baptist hospital in Winston-Salem; I had the AWD vehicle, took her, she fell on ice/snow walking in grass (to avoid falling), while talking to one of bro's docs who was reassuring her; it was just a knee buckle, stuff happens; I took a week off to uh, well, get her to doc appointments, cortisone/fluid drain helped but . . . when I post pics of wood, ya'll will "get it" better: holding one's Mama up (if she weighs 130 and I go a buck five, is "interesting" to back injury) to get her in wheelchair to get her to porta-pot.

Then, one my best friends was dx'ed with cervical cancer (well, they thought they got it) but not. I don't care if I see the inside of a hospital or doc's office anytime soon. Bro gonna be okay, miraculously. Mama gonna be okay seems like; please prayers for my friend, and her husband, kids, grandchildren. Please.

Couldn't quit teaching through any of this; no leave of absence this year, with the worst semester I've ever had of "clueless sophomores" who intentionally took me because they had lousy freshman Eng. proffs, per their admission, and my concrete belief, and wanted to "catch-up." Damn, I ain't Jesus.

I'll post pics tomorrow of "the list" below, when I water/feed; the wood; the bank, and maybe pic of a town-"worker" who whined when he asked, on the maybe 50th trip by them to chip/mulch, "Is 'is tha last load ya got a-limbs'n brush?" I just looked at him and said, "Why hell no." (It was the last load, but heck I pay them to do something.)

What "failed" for me this year, wanted to weep but too busy with felling trees, bucking, limbing, splitting (and it ain't done) getting limbs to road, brother, mother, "catching up" college students = turning water to wine, was Brown Egg, because I LOVED them to DEATH and Bhut Orange Copenhagen--same "love" so, while :tear:   . . . eh. Well, there's 2015, dang it.

So far, what I have to say about pepper seed vendors is: I love Judy, really: I DO. Beth as well. My jury's out on some other vendors but I had nearly 100% germ from Stefan/Meatfreak. This is not a vendor vault; "that's all I have to say about tha-at."

Peace, thanks for being patient with me and if I haven't told you the story about me being in ER with back-crap from getting pulled over a log was bucking way after dark, Shane: got an "Annieism" for ya!

WOW, glad to see your brother is doing better. That truly sucks. Give him my best. Glad to see you make it back here. Must mean things are improving for you.

Thanks Jeff. ;) Will do. Yep, glad to be back to have a smidgeon of time to see what's going on with folks! Missed y'all! (Your plants look amazing! ) Things are calming down as the semester winds to a grinding slow-mo painful experience and people I love are recovering and the new planting area is slowly being rid of wood to burn, and banks and privet and bla, bla. Idiots in admin asked me if I wanted to teach A and/or B Summer sessions. I laughed, kept walkin.' Just looking forward to a summer of peace, dirt, plants, hopefully lots of pods, some fishing, sun . . . without chainsaws  or wondering if bro is gonna live. Trauma without drama's . . . exhausting. Will be back on here--love those beds, man!!

Wow you've really had some work to do. I really admire you for having time to take care of your peppers too.

Hiya Linda! Well, do whacha gotta and sometimes it's a tad more than we're used to but I figure universe's will won't take me to a place that the same grace won't keep me out of the ditches (well, I was in a ditch yesterday cutting privet to kill  ) . . . and peppers are a must too, lol! Sure you don't want some 7 Pod Brown x Naga seeds? ;) As you've discovered, folks here will take care of you and truly care! Looking forward to rest of your grow that I have heretofore missed!

I have a brown egg and BOC for ya! Started extras for you without knowing. ;)

MY SWEETIE! THANK YOU! You're responsible for seed from pods for such large part of my grow!! (I really did love the poor Eggs and BOCs to death because wanted them so badly.  ) But left the GA Blacks alone and they're thriving. I tend to forget that peppers love neglect.

Weather's been nutzo here. Friend of mine lost all of his onions to that freeze thaw mess, after it was nearly 80F, then dipped to like 21 couple nights, went back up; so putting mine out tomorrow. I really hope we're over the worst of the see-saw.

Have a great weekend, sugar! Thanks for anticipating my estupida! ;)

Ool... Figured it was something like that, but at least you got pulled over the log instead of the alternative... Sorry to hear about your family woes, these things do often seem to be connected. We're pullin' for ya miz Annie!

Thanks Rick! Hell yeah, I was tired and it was dark--had good halogen headlamp BUT--yeah. First thing I heard when I slung the saw and landed in a pile of cut-up limbs was Shane laughing. I have never met Shane but I could hear him laughing. Just a case of kinda filing down rakers too much when sharpened. "Just." Of course I have a gauge, but was eye-balling and . . . welp. But true: much better get pulled through the log than log through . . . Yeah, fam stuff, friend stuff, log stuff, but heck. Hey man, so looking forward to the Gochus this year!

Everybody's getting well; planning Mama and Daddy's 60 wedding anniversary party in mid-April. Nobody but my mother (who turned into a "Cougar" at 80, smdh), liked my idea of male and female strippers for them at party. She just said, "If he's over 22, forget it."  Yep: stuff getting back to and beyond "usual."

I imagine you are rather over this winter. Peace, my friend ;)

Dang Annie!

I would much rather you be telling us you hit the lottery and decided to travel!

Sorry to read about your brother, I used to ride both dirt and street, the street scared the heck out of me. Falling is one thing, crashing sucks. I hope he heals well.
Same for Mom, getting hurt at 80 just can't be fun, but she's a trip, get her that stripper!

Prayers going out for your friend, Mom and Bro and you too!

Your "fields" are rockin'! (Ya know, we just can't say stuff like "primo" on here or somebody be asking, "Red, Yellow, Orange? A cross?" ;) ) Thank you for the inspiration of your work!

I do have pics of plants today and getting ready to post some, Mikey-the KICK-A JERKY-MAKER, MON! Winds whipping around at around 30 to 50 mph but will try to get some shots of insane project outside. Thank you, babe. JERKAYMON!

Whew . . . even photobucket went off rails. Okay, let's do this slowly (and find a new upload site).

"New" garden space without trees (cutting down that Black Walnut gave me soooooooo much joy). The green is wheat from wheat straw:

AnnsGlog20143-30garden1_zps493f8653.jpg

Picked up BW and two Pecan, bucked, limbed to be split, with friend's 1977 Ram V-8 4WD right after a snow, but tilling will get ruts out:

AnnsGlog20143-30garden2_zpsa80bf809.jpg

Black Walnut, pretty: pretty and gone from near garden--ripping that space (since have to rip another big space) to get up more of its roots to csaw away:

AnnsGlog20143-30prettyblackwalnut_zps5c6ed735.jpg

More with some oak, etc:

AnnsGlog20143-30andmorewoodtosplit_zps3b2a881a.jpg

NEW garden space area to rip 1:

More 2:

AnnsGlog20143-30newgardenspace2_zpsea5e21ab.jpg

Black, Sugar Maple "Hell:"

AnnsGlog20143-30maplehell_zpsaec323f8.jpg

Bank I cleared (it curves around and lots of varieties of trees, honeysuckle, privet, ivy, but only azaleas cut way down/bulb flowers remain:

AnnsGlog20143-30bankhell_zpsbeb282f7.jpg

A few beginning pallets under cinder-block/bricks to dry wood (yep: I leveled pallets)/dug a 4x4 post/Poplar at other end will be other support (or I'll whack it down, split with maul, and sink another 4x4):

AnnsGlog20143-30palletstodrywood_zps34aad16e.jpg

I felled all the trees, limbed, and bucked them (and got limbs in two 50 yard 8' tall PILES to take to road, after the privet, honeysuckle, etc., trees on bank tote to road adventure)--still have some to do on one Oak (no biggie) and roll it to splitting area but funny--that Maple is uh, was not going to be felled with a 20 inch saw, nor an 18, so buddy came over and with I think 32"+ bar, tells me to use my 18" like a wedge--these country boys don't believe in plastic wedges?--to just hold tree and direct it while he back cut (I got the idea), kept my bore running like a wedge would, to put it down. But he left with his saw--I couldn't hold the thing anyhow--and a 20" that I am borrowing won't buck the Maple because it's over a yard in diameter (can see where I've tried); he's coming back some day this week to buck, bring down trunk. Another friend is coming (same one with that old 4WD Ram that I want) with splitter, hopefully this weekend if he doesn't have to work at lumber/logging mill. I have to say that the back lean in that Maple and using my saw as a wedge as he felled Maple was . . . "different." Moving everything too small to split to pallets and rolling bucked Oak in new garden area, to split-staging area this week, to get that garden space ripped, with dump truck of composted horse manure on way. Whew. Now on to some plants!! Bump if somebody don't mind.
