another chilie head from southern cali

hello all am a chili head from anaheim
have been growing chilis on and off since the 90s
i first was afflicted with the chilis in the seventies
as now am 50 yrs old

the local church's chicken had jalapeños offered
to eat with the fried goodness so i bit into it and felt "macho"
and so on and so on and it has been downhill ever since

i really think i am terminally afflicted

now i have been growing at the office and at home
have some passillas blooming on my front patio at home
(today is december 30,2010) my inaugural post here!
have loaded chiltépe at the office
and it was in the fourties last night

i have slow typing abilities and will post infrequent
or will usually be short (if i got anything to add)

spring is coming and may try some "nuclears" if i get some seeds for them

:welcome:
Enjoy the forums
Not to judge but from what you said you have eaten in my opinion you may want to start a climb to the nuclear instead of just jumping to them. But then again if you jump straight to them you will really feel "macho", but you also risk pain that can be brutal(stomach, digestion, exit, etc....).

And don't worry about typos. It is siad that as lnog as the fisrt and last lettres of a word are not moevd the human mind will make the corrcetions needed. And people think I am crazy!?

Wlecome again
Brian

I am 61 years old and going strong.

Welcome from Wildomar California. I am a little east of you. I am near where Riverside, Orange and San Diego counties intersect each other. I transplanted myself here from Huntington Beach about 18 years ago. I have been eating peppers almost all of my life. My family is from New Mexico where eating chili is a way of life. My grandparents ate chili for breakfast lunch and dinner.
There is so much information here on not only how to grow peppers but how to cook them as well. Just ask a question and you will get answers from some of the most helpful people.
