Any experience with MykoRiz Spores for enhanced Root Network and N* Uptake?

I use a form of powdered mykoRiz that for Soil applications worked great. As far as hydro, I mix it and it's messy. Sometimes, I think messes with PH.

Does anyone have any experience with this as a root booster from root inoculation or other means?

The one thing I do know or have heard from hydro growers is the fastest way to screw up a hydro grow is introducing things that dont belong. Its like a bullet or an IV injection. You can call it back after its gone.

No hydro experience here (yet) but the 420 forums seem to like these two products. Both of which claim " can be used in both hydroponic and soil applications."

Hope that helps.

Great info!

I've heard of great white. Looks good. The one I am using actually has dosing for Hydro just makes it messy / not clear water and the PH goes down.

I'll have to run a test and see whether the same plant, same conditions grows better with the stuff I'm adding or not.

You could use fulvic acid and fulvate products. They bind with nutrients and have a chelating effect help them get absorbed more directly. But honestly it just should not be all that necessary in hydro. Plants have direct access to nutrients in their ionic form and all nutrients in a good solution should be fully dissolved and immediately available to the plant.

I find boosters very interesting. The rate of ML absorption from cucumber is pretty amazing. Myko. Always did a good job in Soil.

I've never been able to find any real proof that mychorrizae are of any benefit in dwc like it is in coco or soil, the side by side grows were rather inconclusive. Bacillus on the other hand can help with a few potential issues, products like hydro guard help keep the roots clean and reduce the risk of bacterial/viral infections. If you do try any beneficial microbe products, let us know how they work in hydro.

I've been using hydrogaurd. I can see a difference in color on the roots of my hydro. I also looked into hygrozyme but never bought that.

I've read that due to high Phos levels, myco. Has trouble surviving. I'm definitely going to log the difference on inoculated and ran in the hydro versus minus the myco.

I have seeds attempting to grow out so we shall see in at least 30 days.

It's not that the mycos can't survive in high levels of phosphorus, it's that they become dormant. When the p level drops, the mycos will become active again.

Rapid start works well in Hydro, and there are some mycos that are good for hydro. I have a bag at home, but forget the name

Here is the rapid start - not cheap though

My experience with mycos has been interesting. I used a product called, Recharge.  Does wonders for plants....not necessarily for humans.  Added mycos to house plant soil, not realizing that molds and fungus growing in the soil would release all kinds of spores into the air...particularly at night.  Had a nasty allergic reaction and it took me awhile to discover that mycos was the culprit.  Had to repot everything.  While mycos seems to be of great benefit to plants, I would suggest using it outside, not in the house.  After some time I am still dealing with residual effects of the fungal infection I sustained and it is very difficult to rid your body of this once you have it.  So, beware. :shame:

That sounds horrible. Was there fungus noticable that made the spores.

Anybody here used Advanced Nutrients: Piranha , VooDoo Juice and Tarantula on peppers ?
I applied last night a mix of B-52, Bud Candy, VooDoo Juice and Piranha to my peppers on aeroponics, and tomatoes on Kratky.

So! Update. My wife got this for me at xmas. I had two root bound plants that I didn't thoroughly rinse the soil from when I moved them to kratky. The roots didn't come down to the water and didnt seem to want to. I used this stuff on them for two weeks and all of a sudden growth changes. Roots moved down and the plants started growing better.
