Any help?

Haven't posted since last growing season. Have a tray filled with all sorts of peppers. They sprouted no problem but then started showing signs of illness. It started with slightly yellowing leaves and then brown tips. Talked to some people who said over watering. Didn't water for a couple days and they all started drooping. The pods were bone dry. I moved them closer to the light at the same time. I think they got a little warm since I also have a grow heat pad under them. I watered them good this morning and put the lid on but cracked to allow for ventilation. The peppers bounced right back up but are as yellow as ever and some are getting more brown on them. I just turned off the heater. I'm thinking they are getting too warm (seems kinda odd). They are also about 18" from the lamp again. I'll attach some pics. Does anyone have any ideas what could be the problem? I'm hoping it was just too warm and too dry

are you giving any Ferts ?  and yes remove from heat  mat

No ferts yet. I was going to wait until more had a second set of leaves. What would you recommend? Last year I had tremendous success with a strongly diluted tomato plant miracle grow

back off the water , get them off the heat mat , get em in a 1/3 perlite , 2/3 plant mix ,   spritz around outside don't drown them , get you a small computer fan , on a cheap timer ,   couple more weeks to Fert. cut it 1/4 tsp. to gal.  next feeding in about 10 days 1/2 tsp. , depends on what your using

So they need to be transplanted sooner than later. This would be much earlier than I did it last time but whatever works! I also have a cheap fan down there that will be used. Like I said, last year I grew a smaller trays worth of peppers and had zero issues whatsoever. This year I think the bigger tray is just messing with me!

I can do that this evening. They were drying out very quickly. It's like too much water, straight to bone dry. With the heater removed I imagine they will be better off. I'm picking up new trays and soil this evening. They'll be transplanted out of the peat pods at that point. Should help them if they are missing any nutrients from old pods or something

I've used Jiffy products and can appreciate the wet to dry with heat pad & humidity dome on these pellets.

Your post makes it sound like you're going to transplant "out of the peat pods"? You do mean strip the netting and put the whole peat pellet in a larger environment, right?

Yes. I'll be putting them in 3"x3" pots for the time being. That worked great last season before I put them in even larger pots and then the ground.
