neem oil can/will burn your plants if you apply it when the sun is strong, it just looks like a little burn from the neem to me anyways.

Improper emulsification will give a good burn as well. Some of the recommended organic emulsifiers work poorly, potassium silicate, aloe and the like.

Yea I always apply Neem or anything at night but I just started using an Atomist to apply so the coverage is way more.
