any one have a pic of a dead pepper plant?
I bought a Naga off ebay
it died, I threw it in the trash, n to get a replacement I need a pic of a dead plant.................
 
That's some piss poor customer service. I hope you get the pic you need, and I hope you never do business with them again.
 
i am curious why you would buy any plant off ebay as you are a member here, when there are lots of people that will give/sell you seeds! but good luck on your search!

cause the Bhut was 1.5 feet tall already. I wanted a quick start since all 4 of my jolokias died over winter.......... N my supply of Jolokia chilies in my freezer is dwindiling....... I got 8 babies , but would like to have a plant that can start producing sooner.

my only lucky survivors from last year where a choco hab, and 2 fatalies, along with a Rebel Red Habanero I cloned.

it was dead and wilting. I am trying to get them to send me a replacement. I can get the money back pretty easy, but would rather have a good size bhut. I want to taste that savory awesome heat right away!

Paypal has great customer service when it comes to getting your money back.

Never, ever get rid of anything you want refunded, even perishables. You have to see it from their perspective, there are plenty of people out there that will try to take advantage of return policies. Some sellers care enough about their reputation that they will replace items no questions asked, but if the plant is DOA they just want to be sure it was their fault before issuing a replacement/refund (and to confirm that the plant is, in fact, dead).
 
I had a bad experience with Ebay once... I was selling my old smart phone. It was in decent condition, A friend who works for sprint had comped me the latest and greatest for free, and so I figured I'd make a buck on the old phone.

Listed it, and within 20 seconds of having listed it, it sold.

wrapped it in bubble wrap, put it in a box along with the charger (but forgot the stylus), and shipped.

Customer sent me an email stating that the phone arrived "destroyed" and that I had better give them all 200$ back right then!., I of course declined, and asked for a picture. They refused to send one saying their word was good enough. I asked how the phone was damaged, and they said that there was a scratch on the screen, and they hadn't received the stylus (which by this time I had lost). I had a stylus drop shipped to them right away, paid for over night delivery, and replied with the confirmation number, and asked if the scratch in question was the one that was clearly indicated (and outlined in red) in the picture in the auction (and was only about 1/16th of an inch, and outside the useable area of the screen). They said that was only one of the problems and that the phone was destroyed and that I had better give them my money back (broken record by this point no?). I pointed out that the phone was still under manufacturers warranty, and that sprint was pretty good about replacing phones if they had issues under MFG warranty.

Any way to make a long story short, I got my money, took it out of my paypal account, transferred it into my bank account at which point Paypal opened an investigation. They put a -200$ charge on my account until the investigation was concluded (90 days I think?). They found in my favor, brought my account back up to 0. I decided to close my account and logged in to do so, and they had locked it citing my use of the "donation" button on a church site to help with a project I was working on. No money had ever gone through the donate button. I was asked to provide 30 unique pieces of identification. From copies of my savings and checking account statements, to copies of my drivers liscense and SS number, to the SS# and drivers liscense, and account statements for the church, pastor, and secretary (who was the treasurer also) - basically everyone involved with the project.

I replied that they were out of their mind, and that MOST of that information was none of their business... I would send a copy of my Drivers Lisense, and confirm the last 4 digits of my ss# but no more, and I'd have to ask the other people involved if they were interested in doing the same.

They said because my account was a personal account, it was fraud to use a donation button without a non-profit # (which I had on file with paypal).... Any way, to make a long story short, I told them to keep the account, and my lawyer would be in touch to ensure they were not planning to steal any money that may or may not have been in there (the thinking was that maybe a donation had triggered an audit, which as it turns out it had not). The people at church (who received copies of my monthly paypal income/outflow to keep things honest) declined to send in any of their information as well.

I closed both my ebay and paypal accounts at this point. I will never do business with them again. ~300 positive feed back, 1 neutral, and one negative (the phone guy).

Afterwards I started searching the web, and found this had happened to a number of other legit charities - many of whom had lost hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars.

The moral of the story? Paypal (and by association ebay) is evil.

Yeah. I closed my eBay account years ago after a borderline experience with them and PayPal that was similar in nature, and zeroed out my PayPal as soon as I could.

My wife still (unfortunately) has one 1099 job that pays via PayPal, so she strips that account clean ASAP every time. They are 100% criminals. I tell her all the time that I cannot WAIT until a true competitor arrives. We are close and they (the PayPal arm of eBay) are doomed in the long run, no matter how pervasive they are now.
 
Aren't you kinda sloppy about publicly posting that you need FALSE pictures(other peoples pics) to get a return on a supposed bad deal.

Kinda makes me wonder if you yourself didn't kill the plant...

By the time you get through hassling them and planting your replacement plant you probably could have grown your own from seed.

I don't know about where you live , but Bhuts go for $8,00 for a plant in a 1 Gal. pot here at the nursery that are about 10in tall.
$4.00 for a sprout.

Bhuts aren't uncommon anymore.
Nurseries are having customers looking for Butch T's and Morouga.

Bhuts aren't in as much demand these days.At least not here.
Can't get more than $10. for a 1 gal. plant anymore.

If you need seeds just ask.They AREN'T rare.
I'm sure a ton of people would help you out faster than what you are trying to do now.

Asking for people to help you recover a POSSIBLE loss is just plain unethical.
I won't help you out in any way shape or form.

Doesn't smell right to me and I'm a sucker for guys asking for SASBE seeds who use them to sell latter for $.50+ each and a gazillion $ a pod or lb.
Nothing wrong with selling stuff is ok,ripping people off just because you can sucks.
False pics is ripping someone off.
If the plant really came dead than I'd think you would get a pic of it.Even if you don't have a camera,some one you know does.

Had a similar situation. I will never do business with PayPal again. The trusty debit card works just fine. Just don't be an idiot and buy from sites you have no research or reviews on and you will be fine. Most banks (hopefully you are with a good local bank) will be very helpful in a situation if one were to ever happen in terms of security.
