Anybody else carry a few peppers in their pocket?

When I find a woman that will bring peppers with her so I have some for dinner ill marry that woman. Haha.

Sorry, Limonaid! I'm married! I also carry a vial like geeme described, filled with dried chile powder in my purse. We went out to a new Thai restauraunt, ordered 5-star heat, and emptied the vial onto our meals cuz it was more like a 3-star heat.

Nowadays, I also carry a little dropper bottle of Evil. Always handy for the impromptu throwdowns with other crazy chilehead manufacturers or to heat up split pea soup, marinara....

Yea I noticed that my local fave after-hours Thai place, Zenna Thai's new version of Thai Spicy is more wimpish, I asked and they said alot of customers were turning back orders cause they were too hot, WTH, now I have to practically bribe the cook to make it for real cause of some wimps that can't take it...It is situations like this that lead to my "always carrying a little heat in my pocket" haha sounds Clint Eastwood-like...

Never brought fresh pods to a restaurant , but I do frequently bring a small shaker of flakes or powder to help kick up the heat. I am guilty of having a fresh pod get crushed in my pocket though it wasnt there because I was taking it to dinner, I was at a friends house and he gave me a few pods to get some seeds from and I put them in my pocket and forgot about them and they got crushed and I got to feel the burn lol.

I have a couple of $3 pill holders that attach to my keychain so they go wherever I go. They work well. They have rubber o-rings so their water and air tight. One is filled with chipotle, and the other with bhut jolokia powder.

I do sometimes if I remember. I ususally order a grilled pepper on the side. Sometimes its good and hot, sometimes not. Its prudent to have backup!

Funny I do the same I always order some grilled peppers, and is it just me or more then half the time they forget to bring them out with your order? :) Yea and usually they are not too hot but once in a while they are pretty good. Sometimes they bring out a lame bunch of generic sliced japs tossed on the grill a sec...Oh well Ya get what you pay for..

Yup, grilled peppers go with almost everything. It does suck when they forget them though, but not as much as when they bring out the sliced generics with the little pieces of diced carrots in it. I look at the waiter like  wtf is that? Man when they get it right though, with a good hot pepper.....ahhhh its so good. Hell man, whats up Plano!!

We have a few hispanic friends who carry matchboxes, with what looked to me like dried african bird pepper, but it's kind of hard to tell in the dried state. I have carried a small ziplock (pill size) of powdered pepper for my husband.

Probably tepins or piquins. There's a hot pepper farm a few miles from my house (Darn Hot Peppers) that sells them in the form of "Emergency Rations" in little 1.5oz tins. I've talked to the owner, he's a nice guy; says that when he's running short he has his relatives down in Texas run out and pick a bunch to be shipped up to him.
