I went on vacation for 3 weeks and my sister had been house-sitting, mostly to take care of my plants. Oh, and the cats, too, I guess. My family and I just got back today, and I come to find that everything is infested with aphids. My dear sister brought me a new pepper plant and put it right into the mix because apparently it "looked sad and needed friends." I'm guessing that it looked sad because of the aphids it was carrying.
 
My problem now—other than an overly loving sister/plant-caretaker—is that my plants are flowering, and every time I've used something for pests on flowering plants it kills the flowers. Maybe not all the flowers, but enough.
 
I tend to do just under 1 oz  each of neem oil & soap in 32 oz water then spray down the plants when aphids have reared their ugly little selves before. Is there something else that will kill an aphid infestation without killing my flowers/buds, etc.? Hopefully, something on the natural/organic side.
 
 
I should add that they're all indoor, potted peppers because it's Minnesota in December (hence the vacation). So, that may limit some options from being feasible.
 
Orange oil (d-limonene) will work. It's what I use with good results. I use pure orange oil made/sold from Medina. $20 a quart but it goes a long way. I only buy a quart every other year or so. More is not better either. 1 to 1-1/2 oz OO per gallon is all you need. More can burn your plants. I live in TX and use it out doors in the heat with no issues of burning plants as long as I use under a 2oz per gallon ratio.
