Apparently not an Aji Lemon

Hi THP.
 
Of the few peppers I have been growing this year, I still haven't been able to ID one of them. I remember it to be something lemon (and assumed it might be Aji Lemon, but due to the standing fruit, it might not be)
 
The plant is rather leggy, with a couple pods at each node, and the fruits are standing upright. So far it has ripened from green to yellow, which I guess is the final colour of the peppers.
 

Any help would be appreciated, (still haven't tasted it though - Looking forward to trying it one of the following days)

Alright thanks! I guess i just thought the lemon drop was supposed to face downwards - I'll be looking forward to putting it on/in everything, when the rest of them start to ripen.

Bite the tip off of one. You will know right away if its a lemon drop. The flower i can barely see appears to be baccatum.
 
The tip will be sweet and lemony with a little heat. Next bite will have more heat when you get into the seeds.

Agreed with Malarky, aji lemon drop. You'll see a lot of them in the Growdown thread in Glogs.

I just started sun drying a small test batch. Almost done in 2 days of 90F+ temps with the pods split open. The small sample i tried leads me to believe they will be damn tasty dried/powdered.

It is indeed a Baccatum and I do believe it to be a lemon drop, just didn't know they could grow upwards. The plant has plenty of pods on it, (not as many as in the Growdown thread though)

I might have to bring it inside in a couple weeks, due to cold weather moving in, and I really want these pods to ripen. Looking forward to the Lemon Drop Powder.

You clearly see this is Aji Pinapple, it have spikes!

Anyway its same as Aji lemon drop (hot lemon) just some sale trick i guess.

I have 2 lemon drop plants and they look exactly like this. Half the pods on the plant are growing upward like this and half of them are growing downward. During spring and early summer, they were all growing upward, but now they are mostly growing downward. Some of my pods are somewhat spikey and some aren't. Mine are in pots and have been moved around quite a bit, so that could have something to do with it, but I can post some pictures tomorrow if it would make you feel any better. Looking at these pictures, I would have 100% confidence that it's actually an aji lemon drop though (assuming mine are true to type too - mine were from tradewinds fruit online). As others have said, taste one and it will be obvious. They have an obvious lemon taste to them.

Aji lemon sometimes called Aji limon or Hot Lemon could be a chinense and much hotter. Always make sure its a Lemon Drop. Some vendors simply name them wrong. The flower will always be a dead give away.

Yes, both my Burpee Hot Lemon and my "Aji Lemon" are Baccatum, with the color patches in the petals..  So, let me understand correctly.. Baccatum species would be accurately referred to as Aji Lemondrop? Whereas the Aji Lemon/Limon would more accurately describe a similar Chinense species?

Lemon Drop is a baccatum
Aji Limon is a chinense.
 
Aji Lemon...better check with the vendor and confirm it. Ive seen that name thrown around for both because limon is Spanish for lemon.
